Great signing and a great find by Mellon originally, so credit to him for that one. Really feared for us without Edwards this season.

They've both had their stint here so both will want to move on and good luck to to them. Benji has developed unbelievably well and Shanks has been a very good acquisition too but I don't know if he has improved as a player (because he was very good at Ayr) but he definitely improved us.

At the end of the the day you either move up a level or become a Scott Broon and never test yourself. Would love both of them to stay but I really can't see it.

Kerr Smith, not the finished article, at 16 years of age, well what a shock? Give him time, give game time with and against experienced professionals and you never know, he might progress to be the player that alot of people think he can be.

Still good options but wonder if Butcher may be away - who knows i like butch but not in same midfield as fuchs and harkes lol Fuchs is class and is 1st choice midfielder every time.
Only issue with that back line is lack of pace. But hopefully they will make it up with experience. I also think that K smith lacks a bit of pace too. Not to tarnish the glimmers of positivity creeping back into this chat. 👍

My point was that I hope TC doesn't feel he's ready NOW to play against the best the Premiership has to offer, that was all.

He's not but phuckme he's a big laddie for his age and what a first touch he has. Potential there is huge, no doubt.

Yeah, can't see it either. To be honest it'd be great to get another season it of them.

And remember he is still under contract ATM so if we want him for another year on his current deal we have him.
He'll get another 'good year' without signing a new contract though. The boy clearly wants to move onto bigger and better things and the easiest way for him to do this is to be out of contract, so it's very unlikely he'll sign an extension.
