Aye-they'll not have the same lawyers working on project restart as they'llhave looking at this deal, Man City's was done in a few weeks and Southampton's owner managed to fail the test, get the stumbling block removed and reapply and pass in less time than this has taken.

I'm not saying the delay means it won't be passd but there's definitely a rabbit off that, imo. can't be fully explained away by the xurrent situation.

    Southampton takeover took 12 months.
Man City took 22 or 23 days
Our takeover has been going 35 working days so far if you take Easter Bank Holidays and May Bank Holidays out.
No need to panic as far as I am concerned. Especially as the test became a lot more in depth after the Man City takeover.

I think we have every reason to panic. Like I said surely the Saudis after so long and getting there names destroyed by our press will get to the point where enough is enough and just sack it off altogether. Is that what the Prem are hoping for? Could well be. Like Zip said something just isn't quite right about what's going on around this deal. I know what your saying about other clubs but has the test actually got that much more strenuous? I can't see it myself. Any way today's the day hahaha.

Im swaying towards that the deal has already been approved and they are just waiting for the outcome of the Inland revenue investigation before they complete.

Saudi's wont want to buy Newcastle if we are going to be docked points, relegated and a heavy fine and banned from certain competitions for fraud/tax evasion or some other irregular shlt.

BUt that would be a huge loss of face and i'm not sure they'd want that in regards geo-politics.

Conclusion I got and could be wrong is that it proves PIF is a separate entity from the government, therefore piracy and human rights issues can't be pinned on them.

dont think the piracy has ever been an issue , its just been qatari properganda and there is plenty of pro-qatar journos like ziegler from the times and sean ingle from the guardian
