Yep Thomas would be a real boost in that regard.

I think that was probably a better performance than it looked. A duller game than I imagined with genuine chances for either side few and far between, but we took ours and restricted them to next to nothing. Usually when we are defending a one goal lead for most of the game it's very nervy, but they never looked like scoring.

It wasn't anywhere near a classic from a neutral viewers point of view, but it was bloody good to watch if you're a Notts fan.

A big win which keeps any hopes of automatic promotion alive. We normally make poor teams look better than what they are, today we did the opposite so hats off the the team, especially the defence and the team work in general.

Still don’t look like scoring many, and our ball retention is pretty ropey at the minute, but when you only concede one goal in 7 hours of football you’ll always have a chance. I echo what others have said about Thomas and Roberts, what a christmas they would be if they turned up at kings lynn!

Agreed. I think that was a solid and workmanlike execution of a good gameplan.

I think once we can get Thomas and Roberts back we can start thinking about being more threatening in front of goal.

However we are keeping things ticking over by being solid defensively like we were last season and can be more confident that scoring one goal will mean we can win games.

One goal conceded in five games is outstanding at any level. If players have the confidence in their defence then it will serve to encourage them to go forward with confidence and make things happen.

Tonight for me it was the most hardworking win of the season and I’d happily take a 1-0 win every week.

Great team performance tonight - the kind that gets you promoted. Now we’ve got to go on a winning streak and close the gap to the top two. Hopefully we’ll be able to give some game time to returning players on Saturday.

Yes, for a 1-0 win that was very comfortable by our standards. We normally make hard work of hanging on to a lead. Outstanding performance by our defence. I still think our passing was poor at times but I’m happy with that. Onwards and upwards,
