We were much more composed today. Players looked comfortable on the ball and we didn't lose easy possession. Harkes not being in the team was one of the reasons why.

I really hoped that he would step up this season but he hides on the park, not making himself available for a pass to help out his team mates.

Sporle and Fuchs are much more composed and, although I've been a critic, Butcher was very good today.

Making yourself available and keeping the ball in midfield means the defence can play passes out from the back instead of aimless punts up the park, which ultimately creates chances for the forwards.

Much more optimistic after today's performance.

Think it is hard to be critical of anyone today. Thought the entire back 4 were worthy of praise. The fluidity in midfield was great. Biggest thing for me for that was Butcher being the positional pivot.

Not getting carried away, as they are truly awful, but plenty to build on and although tough games to come, nothing I am frightened of.

I know Robson struggles with delivery but look how long it took Robertson to develop that and now it is the best part of his game. Thought Robson and Smith were both stand outs today

Good win, well played micky and the team, as decent selection imo

Few good performances, Butch and Fuchs etc

Hopefully settles some nerves for those getting a bit panicky after our worst wee spell of the season

Win on Saturday and can start to have a go at top six, nothing to lose, we aren't favourites with St Mirren having games in hand but beats thinking too much about whats behind us

Good result, very solid workman performance all round. Good tempo. Seemed like a team who wanted to win (for a change).

The experiment of playing McNulty must also be over. He really isn't a creator or any type of midfielder. The set up hasn't room fro a poacher playing i midfield.

Actually despite our win y'day top 6 is looking like a bridge too far. Livi despite finally losing y'day have already done the damage & are out of sight whilst St Mirren are galloping on. And I can't believe we're still a point ahead of St Johnstone with the same number of games played, their recent run has been impressive whilst we before y'day had taken 4 points from 24. So a realistic target in our first season back is 7th, not too bad a thing missing out this season, we'll not be losing out on any home gates v the top 4 tho there is still valuable placement money to incentivise. Moral of the story tho is every game (5 pre-split & 5 post-split) is a cup final, let's get this season done & dusted and pave the way for a back-to-normal (surely) 2021/22 season. Can't wait!

Top six is long gone with St.Mirrens games in hand coupled with the way they are playing and we are simply not catching Livingston before then. Feeling more confident after yesterday but still, we need to try & get another win before the split in five games time to make things more comfortable for ourselves.
