Agree regards Butcher and Fuchs, but disagree regards seriousness of where we were going into County match, up to that match we had won one in something like ten, and were playing poor too, leaking goals every match from set pieces and creating zilch. Big change is we have stopped trying to shoe horn 3 centre forwards into team and got defender in the side that can attack crosses. Two good performances and wins. And when you look at our fixtures coming up and the points other teams are picking up, these wins are huge.

Agree. We were in big trouble and he was forced to change it. If we revert back to that same line up and formation in particular we will be right back in that relegation dog fight.

Good points in both. Had we lost these two games we'd have been 5 points off bottom. We were deep in the sh*t due to the managers insistence in playing three strikers. He was playing three strikers even when Fuchs & Butcher were both playing. I would say Clark being dropped is the main reason in our upturn.

Certainly can't complain with two clean sheets. Edwards is by far the better player, both defensively and at set plays for us.

Clark could, and should, be back in for our next game. Pick the teams for the games you are playing. Clark remains our best back to goal forward and that will be important at castle greyskull. It won't suit Appere or McNulty. Today and Ross County wouldn't particularly suit Clark. We have options, so use them.

It isn't as simple as which 11 are on the pitch leading to results. It is being flexible to the challenges we face from the opposition and picking the team we have with the qualities to address that and then delivering the game plan.

As fans, we should not be individualising things to this degree. We haven't won because Clark, or Connolly, aren't playing but because we planned well and executed better. We have vilified so many players before that we should learn our mistakes and get behind the whole squad.

As an example, I am moved to note just how well Scott Fraser is doing.....the same guy was a whipping boy for his entire United career. United are more than 11 boys on a pitch. A "best" 11 just doesn't exist, it changes game to game

My issue isn't with Clark. My issue is with Clark in midfield. It didn't work in the first game and continued for another six after that. His scoring record speaks for itself and if Mellon wants to play him as a striker, I'd have no issues with it.

Wasn't meaning it as a personal swipe at you. Apologies if it came across that way. Was more the twitter style "we won because" responses I have read today that irked me. Guarantee none of them saw Harkes being as influential as he turned out to be today..... Clark is a good example of a team player. Will try to do a job wherever he is played. His value is in coming towards the ball and creating space for others.could be really valuable next weekend. Agree midfield is not ideal for him. Next weekend he could however be our most important player

He's done a job for us and would do a job for most bottom six teams in the Premiership. Without his goals this season we'd be 3 points off bottom.

Clark is our 4th choice striker, possibly 5th when Chalmers comes back. Our best partnerships are Shankland with either Appere or McNulty as these two offer more during the 90 minutes IMO. I honestly don't see where he plays unless Shankland gets injured or we need a goal late in a game and he comes off the bench.

A decent player for us in the Championship and has scored some good goals for us this season but is an out and out number 9 but we already have a very good one that he'll never dislodge.
