This, we're complete wet blankets. We don't have that in the middle of the park to disrupt things and drive on through the lines. We're weak to put a tackle in and teams just run through the middle of us. We miss multiple chances most weeks to put the game to bed. Seriously IB, sort it out mate cause you're letting the season slip away. The thing is I don't think we're going to improve as much as he thinks we are in his interviews. I'd love to be wrong but I think our team is at its limit. We need a couple of signings at least, one a centre mid to win the ball and offer some muscle and someone else to put the ball in the net. Oh well I'm really looking forward to a wet Tuesday night in Halifax now, I'll prepare myself for disappointment.

There have been a lot of screw ups leading up to this...

Committing to carry on with the 3-5-2, failing to recruit for it, but sticking with it nevertheless, then having to change it..
And if they can mess up like that, it maybe casts a different light on the midfield rebuild and any other decision that's been made, frankly

October's got to be about getting Slocombe and Cameron back, battling out results and seeing what team IB can put together as his best XI

I think the cheerleaders need to start dancing quick or there could be trouble!

On PPG we are down to 9th.

Also down to 9th on goals conceded (Halifax top on 0.89)

Only teams we have beaten so far are all 15th as it stands or below.

Including or excluding the expunged game at Dover, we now have fewer points than at this stage last season.

If we don't qualify for the playoffs then the players, IB and Doyle should be hung from the goalposts by their knackers. Unacceptable. If the only teams we've beaten are 15th and below then this is really concerning.

Ouch. That'd be a new angle on shooting practice

Burch: First 45 we were good, Their keeper only made 1 save. Early 2nd half more likely we were going to get the 2nd. Knew they were going to be good at set pieces. Can't give teams like this goals from set pieces. I have to look at the balance of play, we've had 78 minutes they've had 8. It's so disappointing. Didn't suit us when the game got stretched, we got tired. A lot we can take from our attacking play but not counting for anything if we don't defend key moments. Need to find it in ourselves to be more physical.

IB has assembled a side to play the beautiful game, but overlooked the fact you need to do the ugly things to win games too. It is also pointless asking players to be more physical if they’re lightweight to begin with. You need a physical presence to compete at this level against teams who will put it into your box at every opportunity.

We’re a soft touch - huge game at Halifax now.
