Swale, I really do admire your support and confidence but we are going nowhere, another Manager who continues to play the same few cronies, no matter how out of form they are. Still very poor away from home, no decent signings in January , just n obsession with another junior goalkeeper. 3 forward men who have had their heads turned by a move to higher opposition and have been positively awful ever since. Bottom half of play-offs and an almost impossible route through to winning at Wembley.

They'll judge them on a few more than the 2 games chap. Thought unlike Tuesday night Rodders and Richardson were about best outfield players today.

From what I've heard about Tuesday and Today, a lot of our so-called 'stars' don't actually look that interested that our season is falling away in front of their eyes. Wootton hasn't shown up at all in the last three games, Rodrigues has been missing for 2/3 months, Roberts hasn't been the same since his injury, yet Burchnall continues to play him in a role that even all of us, with our lack of coaching qualifications, can see so easily.

Whether their previous form has gone to their heads or they've been disrupted by tabloid tales of Championship clubs sniffing around or they've simply lost confidence in Burchnall and his system that evidently doesn't work often enough, I know I'm certainly starting to.

And despite our 'stars' seemingly going off the boil, we cannot even rotate them as we don't even have a semblance of depth in any position apart from full back and now goalkeeper.

We don't beat Grimsby and the season is done.

Couple it with the result on Tuesday, our away form over the entire season and the run we have until the end of March and I think we're entitled to wonder if we're done this season as title challengers.

Yes we have games in hand, but even on PPG we are now down to 7th.

11th on away games points only.

-Outside the playoffs a good way into the season
-A long distance off the top, having to rely on winning games in hand to even close the gap slightly
-Unable to play at anywhere near a decent level any from home
-Unable to drop players when they're out of form as we don't have anywhere near enough depth in key positions (i.e striker, holding midfield etc)

And on top of all that, we now seem completely incapable of keep clean sheets, even when we've got 5 defenders on the pitch.

If Burchnall doesn't buck his ideas up and start to tackle these issues, which honestly I'm gradually losing confidence in him to do so, it'll be just another season of playoff mediocrity, alarmingly reminiscent of last season.
    I think that's a bit harsh.

Being out the playoffs something of an anomaly and is down to having played fewer games.

Winning our games in hand would close the gap from 9 points to 3 points, which is more than closing it slightly.

Unable to perform well away from home - completely agree.

Our holding midfielder has been arguably our most consistently good player, but I agree about lack of viable alternatives to Wootton.

I agree with your general point though that we don't have a plan B to win games when we can't impose ourselves with plan A.

I do wonder at times where we would be in the league this season if he was still here, and tbh I think we would have finished last season off better than we did, as others have said I don’t think we are any further forward under IB.

Still no Burch interview due to technical issues.
