It's not as simple as that MillerBill. Footballers are on PAYE or at least they used to be unless it's changed over the years. The extra £2m would be swallowed up when RUFC have to pay HMRC.
Then there's National Insurance to factor in. As I said on an earlier thread / post not everything is black and white.

It comes down to turnover and in the past RUFC managed a pre-tax profit, can't offhand remember the season they managed it.

As for buying shares at £1000, if TS agreed, this is very dodgy. I, with 57 others, put £1000 into the New Stand at Millmoor. D Coleman just ignored them when he took over, which was his right apparently. Would these shares be different and sound financially?
Shares in RU estates who own the ground would be a better investment....lol
Who do we pay rent to.

    Oh the owner off club

Yes I know keeping on a successfull manager to long it just doesn't make sence to the club or the fans.

I guess you will be happy when we don't achieve promotion from league 1 next season as the manager is newc

The S6 reference. Our fans have short memories. Too much criticism and unrealistic expectations.
You can wake up healthy today but it doesn't guarantee you will tomorrow

You can wake up in a job today. But it doesn't guarantee yoi will tomorrow.

    So what's your point

    Tony Stewart does.

He would rent or no rent.

It's just another way off him not having to dip into his pocket

Who owns the ground if rufc gets sold or goes bust its not rufc.

It's a high stake buy to let agreement.

Don't confuse it with anything else

Don’t forget the salaries of the manager and staff on top of all of the specialist at Roundwood.

The big difference between us and teams like Luton is they sold 2 players for a total £10M, we are famed for letting ours go for nothing when their contracts run down.
I said ages ago that any player not wanting to sign another deal should be put up for sale. It's great thinking that they could help us in the last year, but do they really care, knowing that they're jumping ship whatever happens.
