Admire your optimism, certainly we have the players capable of doing that, but will Southgate set the team out positively, or will it be the usual cautious negative approach and hoping that the luck the team have enjoyed in this tournament to date will come good?

In truth we had an easy path to the final and only just got there! Why Southgate picked Kane who has been poor all tournament was beyond me, but it panned out as I thought it would, no doubt the best team won, but FFS England were tentative most of the time, playing the usual boring negative tactics and hoping one or two moments of brilliance would be enough.

Best team won but England's negative tactics didn't help. Kane won the sleeping policeman award by miles, starting with only ten on your side against arguably the best team in the world should consign Safegate to the history books.
