John Eustace has a clause in his contract at Blackburn Rovers, that he could leave if a club came in for him.

But reported, that when Derby County showed their interest in having John Eustace as manager, Eustace met
with the Blackburn Rovers board, & he asked for a new contract & assurances over investments in his squad.
[Blackburn Rovers signed 6 players, but 5 of them are short term contracts until the end-of-the-season]

The report added, Blackburn Rovers board refused to extend his deal & provide those guarantees.

As a result John Eustace, has said his goodbyes & will leave Blackburn Rovers football club.

The vacant hot-seat at Blackburn Rovers FC.
Steve Gerrard now a free agent, but could Blackburn Rovers afford him.

So sacked as manager and then brought back a year or so later as Director of football? Talk about rewarding failure
