Its happened so have too move on, will & can happen to any keeper, if we were more clinical up top, then these mistakes / last min goals, may not be so costly, seem to be missing 2-3 decent chances per game. Joseph learning fast, Piroe ok, but a physical presence up front & dare i say it, in CM too, these additions, team looks good

Oh it’s easy, isn’t it pointing blame.
Why not stick the boot into the officials too as many will state the Leeds equaliser was clearly offside & our second was never a foul by Sunderland player Romaine Mundle.

No doubt their fans we're extremely frustrated by events & the ref denied them the chance to properly establish a foothold in the game - so while some moan about Meslier costing us, then the Sunderland fans will have more than valid reasons to be annoyed at referee Tim Robinson, who is also a PL ref too.

Constructive criticism ok but soon becomes abuse when it's presented in an unkind, hurtful or controlling way is the way i see it.

Disappointing result but they're a good young side with a promising Coach as i stated at the start of the the thread - so a fair result for the neutral i suppose with an acceptance of both victory & defeat with grace from me.

Be interesting to hear our International ex-keeper Paul Robinsons opinion on matters as i know Meslier talks to him.

Just saying on reflection after hearing Farkes opinion & Struijk who was closest to him on the pitch.

You’re wasting your time Totty… expecting constructive criticism/discussion from our resident keyboard warrior, in his element when anything goes wrong at LUFC but quite as his (keyboard) mouse when we are doing OK… 2 good away points, we move on …WALL

Contrary to how you see my posts, (and how WS sees them too), I was quite clear and constructive in my analysis of the "event" that led us to lose two points that were seconds from being bagged. Jesus I even got some form of agreement from Tich, who isn't exactly a WTF11 cheerleader! None of what I wrote could be construed by aoyone as abusive.

The fault/blame for us surrendering two points belongs nowhere else but with Meslier, and to see him smiling and having a laugh after the game ended didn't exactly endear him (at least to me). He (Meslier) could and should have coped with a slow moving, looping ball when there was ZERO pressure on him from any of the Sunderland players, and had he done so we would be in a better place than we are now.

And no, it's not "easy pointing blame" when you support Leeds and want them to do well, yet time and time again, and not just this season, we see points given away for absolutely no good reason.

I have no brief for the officials, although I'd agree that generally they are sh1te but there is nothing anyone at LUFC or amongst the supporter community can do about them being so dire, except NOT to give points away!!!!. Neither do I care how Sunderland players and their supporters feel, why on earth should I????

I don't care about any of what you say about Sunderland, only that we gave two points away when it wasn't in any way shape or form, necessary or excusable. I'm not a neutral.

Doesn't matter what version of events we get from Farke or Struijk, or what opinions Robinson might have, fact remains we have lost league places without reasonable cause.

Read my in-game posts for this and the previous game. Credit where its due, but definitely more required, constructively critical where I see fit. Maybe you're just more easily pleased.

Often i'm accused of using rhetoric in the art of expressing myself, so obviously persuasion, understanding, discovering & developing arguments for particular situations can be my main drift on matters Leeds when anaylised😇

Interesting differences thoughts wise you & me, you having a somewhat polemic attitude when expressing matters Leeds, to be fair. 😉

    Just saying

    Polemic......
    noun

"a speech or piece of writing expressing a strongly critical attack on or controversial opinion about someone or something"

    Yeah, and?

Most who respond (if they respond at all, their chiice) opt to take the man, not the ball. Their choice too.

I tell it like I see it, no embellishment, no personal bias one way or another, and if.that seems to anyone as being a polemic point of view or nature of response, so be it. Maybe if more shared that perspective and were less willing to accept mediocrity (in and outside the club) we might perform more like the top 6 of the PL.
