... particularly re trainin facilities. In trainin, thee days, it would be wise tae adapt to a wide variety o' conditions. In the SPL .. there's two plastic pitches, at least one on a slope, at least one prone tae bein slippery/waterlogged, and at least one wi a loose topsoil/undersoil... It's as geographical as it is tae dae wi maintainence .... so, a variety o trainin surfaces ...which will cost **** all might be a good way to go.
Ah'm nae a young loon, so Ah remember the pleasure o kickin a plastic ba' wi chums alongside the Dons at Linksfield but remember they would dae some rinnin and kickaroon on the beach, good for stamina and balance! ... also in the Pittodrie car park ... nae good for knees, but good for gettin the hang o a bouncy ba' ...
Tae restrain masel fae borin ye wi examples o' train environments available for free, I will ask ... fit's the point in recreatin the conditions o the Hampden pitch if we are gonna struggle tae get tae Hampden due tae a bad day at some neepfield o' a ****ey away grun .... when we hae plenty o' neepfields, borderline bogs (Calder Park as is ) and some nae bad public parks.
Aye, Ah'm accountin for risk o' injury, but ken? Mitigate! .... Trainin is nae aa aboot 11 vs 11 .... For example ... Ah'm nae an athlete, as Ah said earlier - borderline auld bugger - but I like tae hae a trek ower the untrodden parts o' Kincorth Hill, Tullos Hill and Calder Park etc cos the variety and ...err .. unpredictability o terrain ... cos it helps ma wi ma core muscle fitness/strength.
Ah jist think ... trainin ... is nae supposed tae be .... easy! It should be challengin!
