I just feel a bit underwhelmed by Mickey’s Mellons. I get a bit of a ‘Pat Fenlon‘ feeling about him. A complete unknown who was talked up & look how he ended up when he got the Hibs job.

We’ve gone from touting ex-England and EPL/championship managers to an unknown who’s not even in the reckoning for the Birmingham job.

I hope if he gets the job, he proves me wrong and looking on the bright side it looks like it’s not Tommy ‘zzz’ Wright (hopefully I haven’t spoken to soon).

Another thing that might go against Malky being appointed would be that potential transfer targets that fall in the category that he offended in his texts might not want to sign for him.

He might have had to feel obliged to play Sow just in case someone cried racist!

Not really a helpful comment, Its like you've just thought of the nearest black guy to make an example of, you see that don't you?

Think he would bring his own, he has been loyal to his assistant for years who by the way is called Michael Jackson,
Cue social media meltdown and emails galore... Jeez we're in for a thriller now, if they thought our name would be tarnished by hiring Malky, then recruiting Jacko is gonna be starting something that could end bad.

    I'll get my coat

Can't see anything racist in this post. The assistant IS called Michael Jackson, and the poster chucked in a few MJ songs (the ither ane) which I found quite funny. No mention of colour, and ended with a Fast Show quote.

Things are getting a wee bit out of hand these days regarding discrimination and it is complicating resolving the base issues.

Anyweh........... considering the names still left, I would go for Mellon unless there is a hidden gem hiding in the wings, I doubt that very much.

Always a good sign (not for the fans) when they are truly gutted at the thought of losing a manager, and that is clearly coming across from the TR fans.

Comparisons already made about us "losing" RN . I have never in my time as a United fan seen so much apathy to losing a manager.

Maybe there could be someone better, I don't know. Maybe he is happy where he is and this is all paper talk and making the bookies a fortune IE: McLaren

Really need a manager very soon though, we will be far behind the other teams if this drags on.

my view we didnt lose a manager but gained 200k. he is and was dispensible with very poor football at times on offer. We may get worse, better or similar but i just laughed at the thought budge thought she was sticking it right up us.

Totally agree Shedboy, hence the quotation marks etc. Just commenting on what others were saying.

Me, personally, glad to see the back of him. Fell in to the trap early doors, then got fed up of negative football, soundbite interviews and bumming up the fans like we are all thick as a brick.

He did get us promoted though fair enough..... Hud on......... that was Shankland and C 19

Hearts are really proving to be a laughing stock these days. I would like to think our top brass would fight tooth and nail for us , but there has to be a limit and they have well surpassed that.

Hopefully someone (anyone) at Tannadice would have stood up and said "STOP this now, your making a Gene Hunt oot oh this"
