Ever paused to consider why Terry couldn't get into the Chelsea side last term?

Could the reason have been , he's was no longer good enough ?- but Hey-ho lets chuck-away a shedload of money sign the guy, - fingers crossed hope he can cope with the physical demands of the Championship

Can you name a single “ex top notch” player we have signed who has truly delivered -No neither can I, Hazard a guess what’s the common denominator here Joleon Lescott, Joe Cole, Robert Pires, Chris Sutton, & Micah Richards ? Do these names ring any alarm bells?

Its a pity these players didn't carry a “Best Before/Expiry date” or have a 90 day money back guarantee

Sorry I find it difficult to accept or believe @ £3 million a season plus signing on fees/additional bonus A V F C cant find a younger (potential) “leader” with low mileage & a far greater shelf life than John Terry !!!!!

If we keep farting about with potential we will never get promoted.

    Very eloquently worded,

By the same measure a 36 year old on an outrageous salary holds no guarantees

Its one thing if David Luiz, Gary Cahill, César Azpilicueta Kurt Zouma & Aina are mopping up your mistakes

Its a different kettle of fish if your dependant on the likes of Alan Hutton watching your back

Hmm that's the nail hit right on the head by Mr Freer there. Some players look very good next to others.

Terry I think could be a good signing though. I can think of lots of positives about it especially as he might be 36 but he had hardly played the last 2 years so he is more like a spritely 34 year old

I want the main signing to be Johnstone on a permanent basis

You know guys, I just want the deadwood out and the team to be focused. A good pre season and go out as if the season finishes Christmas. If we are on top then, a cheeky signing in January just to keep it freash and a steady controlled but relentless run in.
