Then loads of posters on here thought it was a great signing?? On the back of 20 games? Played in 2 seasons previously .

A midfield enforcer! Exactly what we need! Brilliant.

Wasn't there today coz of a prior engagement (The Bothie booked months ago) so I can't comment on his display today but when Id seen he'd been sent off I knew it was just a matter of time.

I don't think he's 5hite and he can do a decent job for us in this league but on the other hand I'm glad it's just an 18-month contract and no longer.
He's been playing regularly for clubs in a better league than ours, hadn't been sent off in years until yesterday either. He's a good player and maybe just a bit over committed at times. I'd rather have that than the utter ****ebags we've had to endure the last few seasons.

I get you don't rate him but he's a significant improvement on what we had.

Yep, I'd rather have Butcher for an hour than Barton for a full 90 minutes lol. Mind you I'd rather have piles for eternity than ever see that ****ehawk in a United strip again! 😂

Butcher is far better than Fyvie Gomis Stanton Rabitsch Murdoch etc imo

Just seen the tackle again and it hasn't changed my mind at all, that's a red card any day of the week.

Barton scored for connahs quay nomads the other day. They’ve been on fire since he arrived. Hopefully there could be a permanent switch there!!

Agree butcher is a big upgrade on what we had. He will learn from this, and I’m sure RN will have a word in his ear. As per earlier post his physicality and play in the middle of the park contributes to our defence. With the addition of Harkes smith gomis we need someone to do the dirty stuff in there and he fits into that. He just needs to be a bit more savvy.

Yeah I was there, we were poor in the second half before the red card.

Yeah my point is that we mayhave imposed ourselves on the game more as the half wore on but the red card was crucial. Guess we will never know, but its still another win in a game we would have lost without the new team

Wisnae there. Sounds like a carbon copy of last week v Morton, should have been 3 or 4 nil first half, fizzled out a bit 2nd half. The boys in the pub after getting back from the game were full of praise for Spunky. How was Robson?
