Those that disagree with you will get nothing but insults because you cannot counter a well put arguement. That is why you call people gammon and chavs, you think you are better than them.

I really miss gammon, one of the things you can't seem to get in New Zealand. Oh to those days having Sunday lunch as a kid at the Flying Horse with a nice slice of gammon with a fried egg on top and big Coke on the side.

I'm also a big fan of a nice gammon joint. Cover it in cracked black pepper and slow cook for four hours, then slice off a thick steak and serve with chips and mushrooms and a fried egg on top. Replacing the egg with pineapple is just wrong.

Would you call a Black Guy gammon? what about an Asian? Is it a term that is only used agains white guys? Who other than whites would you use it against? In the same way that chav is only ever thrown at white persons, it is a derogatory term that is used against a group based on inherent characteristics.

I find gammon amusing and not racist but I see your point, if a similar harmless jokey remark was made against a black or Asian person this site would have gone into meltdown.

In all fairness, just to give some balance to the debate, during and after the 2016 referendum, I often heard 'remainers' referred to as 'mutton'. Well I do mix with some strange people.
