The expectation was that we would be challenging for 1st place this season. We were nowhere near. I can't recall the interview word for word, but the owners were asked if they'd expected us to be higher and challenging for auto some way into this season and they said that they did and that their stats were telling them that results should improve and that we would climb higher as the season progressed. That they sacked him when we were 6th would confirm that he had not done the job he was kept on to do, yet again. So to say he failed three times is a fact, not an opinion.

What he might have done had he been kept on is entering into a fantasy world where Fullarton could have got us promoted into L1. We can all make up any scenario, good or bad, for any manager that's ever been to justify or otherwise giving them the push, If we're dealing with facts and not opinions then the bottom line is he was sacked because he wasn't good enough to keep us up and wasn't good enough to get us back up despite being given nearly two seasons to do that from the lowest position the club has ever been in.

We've had many rubbish managers and disappointing seasons before, but none bar Ardley oversaw a relegation to non league. I just choose to put Ardley in the rubbish failed managers category, others don't. That, in truth is what this whole debate is about.

You have without doubt made the biggest U-turn of anyone on here. For well over a year you openly mocked and ridiculed anyone who dared to criticise your idol (and back then he definitely was your idol), now you have switched sides to 'all in' on Burchnall. Never once have you said "maybe my total faith in Neal Ardley was a bit misplaced".

As for Fact 2, your blanket refusal when I and multiple others suggested the obvious solution was to ignore each other (which would make the handbags thread redundant) puts you in absolutely no position to criticise others.

The handbags thread has served a purpose clearly, it's been beneficial to the board as it kept a lot of the waffle (like this) that the majority have no interest in, contained. Sadly a few of the clowns escaped the circus and regularly start to instigate arguments just like on a thread about Sutton United deservedly winning the league.

The only positive of this thread I can see is that it's clearly shown your levels of hypocrisy is off the charts. The ignoring of nicknames, the puerile comments, the demanding the use of the handbags thread as a solution whilst at the same time ignoring a better solution, the championing of free speech whilst also trying to censor others.

It's why I suggested a friend or family member brought you a mirror so you can gain some self awareness.

Correct. The fact that we've had many managerial failures doesn't make Ardley's reign acceptable. We all know that laddo instantly ridiculed anyone who said that Ardley wasn't the answer. As UTM suggests, he's never had the guts to say "Yeah you were probably right".

As I've told DavyFacts and others when they claim "we were right you were wrong" or "my favourite "you lost" you don't win a prize for predicting a Notts manager won't be successful. Not even a cuddly toy.
