I don't give a monkeys that bielsa says we will have 4 strikers available, Roberts will never be a striker, nor will rodrigo, geldhart is up and coming, and Bamford is never fit....GET A STRIKER NOW....before it's to late, then let them fight for their place, which is how it should be.

Yup and two midfielders to go with him too please.

Bate (who looks like he will be very good but obviously not at this level yet)first half showed what we miss with having too few proper midfielders - he was typically in the right place and knew where to pass the ball and when to switch and find space.

Been said many times but we haven’t replaced Pablo and so don’t have someone to pull the stings and create magic out of nothing when needed

Not sure who I would class as a creative midfield player who's available, but then that's why I install woodburners and don't do Victor ortas job.

Never usually post direct after game as emotions can often be raised.

But, as I posted early December regarding Bielsa situ - that maybe buying big now may not fit a possible new coach plans come the start of next season when we may have new ownership as well.
I personally saw some very talented youngsters today via Tv & Mum with Dad plus 9,000 others saw a terrific effort regardless in East London.

A pure goal-sniffing striker could have put 3 of our chances into the net today but alas we don't have one in the squad yet.

On a positive both Fabian Barthez, the France ex-keeper & Laurent Blanc, the France ex-central defender who both played for Man Utd under Fergie both focused their summing up on French tv on Meslier's performance and his ariel domination whilst Blanc enthused over Hjelde & Llorente superb defending against the physical Antonio who often bullies with a frustrating gamesmanship style of play, which both handled well.

Maybe they watch other games also as Hjelde had Antonio but the latter ran rings around Llorente. It looked like to me AS WE were no threat they took the foot off the paddle and only did what they had to. It wasn't a fast game rather one that tends to put you to sleep. Positive for me was the younger brigade as they didn't look out of place. Hjelde like Creswell is very impressive think those 2 together will serve us well as will Drameh now if we can only find a left-back our backline will be stored away.

I reckon that given our starting 11 first half we did well - didn't cause them many problems but they didn't us, the difference between the teams at half time was a dodgy VAR assisted goal [SPAM fans probably love VAR always giving them descisions]
Second half nothing much in it again - given they had effectively a full strength team - they are a negative counter attacking cheating boring team who we never get anything against, take Antonio and Bowen out and not much threat at all.
Their diving about was truly shocking - Drameh got booked cos Johnson fell over and screamed ffs - and the less said about the cheating ref the better - wish to god we could maybe once a season get a Homer like him. as for VAR it woud appear to be there to assist the hammers when their 11 plus the referee miss anything, I was only surprised that they ouldn't find a way to make life even more comfortable for them by giving em a penalty?? but suppose they made up for that by NOT giving us one for Johnson's [Again] handball.

I fear we will get nothing again next week no matter who plays,

ps - Thought apart from Klitch and Harrison who where dreadful - the rest played ok especially in the circumstances and despite the Ref and VAR!

Most of the fouls given by the crap referee, was the fact fat backside Antonio spent most the game backing his fat arse into lorente or helde, doubled up by putting his arm round the back of the defender, then falling to the ground and bleating to the ref like the cheat he and half his team are.

I think he'd do a better job installing woodburners than LUFC DoF.
