    Silly stats time....

    First 2-3 defeat in the FA Cup at ML since 1928.

    The last game we lost 2-3 at ML that went 0-1. 1-1, 1-2, 2-2, 2-3 was against Leeds United when the late Gary Speed netted the winner in the League Cup 95/96. Last time we lost away with that sequence of scoring was to Grimsby when Ian Richardson was in charge.

    What's the lowest level team that has ever beaten us in the FA Cup. UTM?

    ...and the team the most places below us in the pyramid at the time of the match would be interesting, if you have that info.

    Coalville are currently 3rd in their league (one of many at 7th tier level).
    Don't know what Salford's position was in their league when they beat us as a 7th tier club but they were promoted at the end of that season via the play offs after finishing 3rd.

    Havant & W were tier 6 when they knocked us out. Kettering and Southport both 5th tier.

    Rhyl, Bath and Runcorn was pre-pyramid days but two of them were playing in the Cheshire league.

    Thought Mahovo looked a decent prospect today, he was at fault for the second but without Chicksen to help him out he had a big job on today, he's definitely a tidy footballer who will get better, very hopeful on him playing for the first team. Taylor isn't fit enough to get up and down to help him out today but did sling in some good crosses.
    Mitchell is not a lone striker, neither is Langstaff. Langstaff gets Scott as a partner, Mitchell gets hung out to dry.
    Ed Francis is truly pathetic. He hides in full view with little six yard sideways and backwards passes. The gulf between him and Palmer never looked bigger than today, put him on the transfer list, he's never going to be good enough.
    Fair play to Coalville, they were organised and offered a threat and overall deserved it.

    Agree on Francis, he's a nothing player. Not strong enough to be an enforcer and not skilful enough to be a good ball player...stealing a living off Notts.

    I'm spitting magpie feathers after watching that, didn't look like a team until the subs were made, Mitchell wasn't hung out to dry, like Francis he's not good enough and I'd prefer DKE to TAR.
