    Come on United !!
I must have been somewhere behind Dave above with Mulgrew and Hallberg running towards us and as LS says, it isnt a bad challenge.

Actually had an OFFS moment when the lad played in the cute ball over Freemans(?) head with Murgrew struggling to cover. On first thought, he got the ball, so I glanced over to Poppadom thinking Hallberg had a run on, to look back to see Mulgrew lifting his leg and taking down the lad. With Ayina starting off 30 yards plus behind, he is fast but was never getting back! Now ive seen it again, Why TF did McMann not try and bust his gut to at least get in to cover?

I dont see where the grey area comes from after the challenge as the next stop for Hallberg would have been to the keeper unchallenged, and that there is a clear goal scoring opportunity. If it wasnt, then Behich never had that mazy against Hibs!

Feart for where we go now as i think we might need 3 at the back if Edwards comes back in as i dont see him or Ayina playing well on the left.

Positive thing about the game is it also highlights to Goodwin where we need to strengthen in summer. Mulgrew is finished he has been all year. If kept as a coach he can cover for multiple injuries but not a first team first pick.

Freeman just doesnt have the quality needed, Niskanen despite his speed etc and desire just fails to deliver. the right side is ****ed.
On the left is a little better but Mcmann has too many brain farts and distribution is terrible.
Midfield is not forward thinking enough and shows a constant negative mentality in play. The most simple expression of this is the number of times they played laterally and subconsciously played 2 yards behind a player. They have a fear.

But as a team there has been a lack of spine for a long time -way before Goodwin and there is no passion or real teeth. There was several times the whole team should have been in the Refs face with aggression but it didnt happen. We saw several Saints players foul so many times like Phillips and not be booked because there was no desire etc from the victim. They need to man up, its as if they sit in the dressing room and in todays parlance 'Ã*dentify as being football players' while really being little boys.

    No bollox, no desire.

Shyte refs like this are given an easy ride and know there will be no challenge to their decisions.

I just think he's so far away from goal to define it as a clear goal scoring opportunity is well of the mark. But, that may not have been the reason for the red. He did deliberately foul Hallberg and while doing so lift his leg quite high.

After seeing it again on the hilights I agree with you 100%. Not a red in a million years.

Red card aside , performance was no near good enough which was the biggest let down . Have been decent up to then , the 2 home were always going to be huge so not much has changed from that point , let’s be honest if we can’t beat those 2 at home we will deserve all we get

I think we need two home wins and one away win to even have a chance of tenth now. The way the fixtures are set up from here on in, you have to think Killie, with their three home games, are favourites for automatic safety. I don't fear anyone in the playoffs however.

Think we just need to see how this weekend goes as while your fancy Killie is not banker and look at the final three rounds from then, they are all played in the space of a week from the 20th

No idea why, but we stopped doing the things that brought us the previous wins.
First half we played the ball forward too quickly and often reverted to long punts.
Only when down to 10 men did we start playing it shorter.
We couldn't dominate the midfield, Harkes was back to being Harkes after some decent performances, Sibbald had a poor game too.
But most of all we couldn't get Behich into dangerous positions.
Goodwin hopefully will be telling them how to get back to what we need.

Sending off I thought was 50/50 but didn't see us winning 11v11 the way we were playing.

It's McDiarmid. I'm telling you. It's a f*cking hole and we never perform there. In 10 years and 13 matches we've scored 6 goals. That's the first goal Saints have scored against us in 7 attempts aswell. It's just an awful place to play football. I hate the place.

Hopefully that's all it was and we can get back to winning ways on Saturday.
