I've just posted an example of how differently stories are covered in the mainstream press:

"When Boris Johnson was found guilty of misleading parliament by the cross party Privileges Committee, most reported it that way. The Mail and Express however chose to lead with headlines claiming it was a witch hunt".

We know you love unbiased coverage, which papers do you think got it right?

The public can cancel their TV Licence any time they choose.

But the public are effectively being forced to fund the private life of any TV presenter on any channel.

On ITV, the public were effectively being forced to fund the private life of Phillip Schofield.

ITV aren't funded by the licence fee and you're not going to get a knock on the door and face a possible fine or even imprisonment for failing to take out a Sunlife funeral plan, sign up to paying £3 a month to some charity that looks after donkeys in south Asia or spend money on whoever advertised on ITV daytime to fund his wages.

Lol EP do you think I read the newspapers. Unless I said a left wing publication you would just ridicule it anyway.

Maybe not, but you had to put up with "lovely Phil" being apparently heartbroken for a mum who can't afford to feed her kids on telly, then cutting to an ad break where he happily accepted bucketloads of cash to encourage people to use Webuyanycar because even though they offer below market value, what does money matter if it gives you more free time?

Anyone who has ever purchased a product advertised on ITV have effectively been forced to fund the private life of Phillip Schofield and co.

    I.
My missus is a health visitor who the public are being forced to fund, more so than Huw Edwards, is her private life up for grabs as well?

The billionaire funded tabloid newspapers (and now billionaire funded tv stations as well) have used that bs for years as a bad faith argument to try to get rid of or just intimidate the BBC, it’s always been nonsense.

I don't know. The question was "When Boris Johnson was found guilty of misleading parliament by the cross party Privileges Committee, most reported it that way. The Mail and Express however chose to lead with headlines claiming it was a witch hunt".

In your opinion, did the Mail and Express get it right or wrong?

If she was being paid £439,000 a year out of the public purse whilst up to something a bit dodgy then perhaps she would run the risk of drawing attention to herself.
