I would hate to move and certainly not to somewhere like they are planning
Anyone who has been to Livi, Falkirk and fermers knows that these new grounds are awful
The only good new grounds tend to be in England when there are 30,000+ and it’s enclosed. The smaller new stadiums just don’t work and have no atmosphere
I actually think St Mirren's is pretty decent. 🤔 It's the location I don't like about the fun's proposal. Culturally it would be miles away from the experience football fans in Scotland would want. The notion is very American. ☹️
If Tannadice Street/Sandeman Street ever loses it's two-football clubs heritage it would be a massive downturn for the City of Dundee. In being totally unique it is famous the world over. Take it away & you might realise. I hope it never happens but the times they are a-changing. DFC - do up Dens before armageddon.
I think both will move eventually, half of each ground are Dickensian. Both in ideal place as well, moving to places more isolated and with hardly any facilities isn't as good as where they are now.
I had two objections to this - the first was the Campedown land grab which to be fair seems now to be off the table. The second however is access - that area is busy enough at times. Any sense of logic tells you you can’t have multiple supporters buses and cars going round the Camperdown mini roundabout trying to get in. It would be utter chaos. A new junction is required, like what is happening at the Swallow roundabout which after all is only for a new housing development. Phuck knows what would be needed for a 12000 capacity stadium…………
