"Build it and they will come"
    Isn't that the saying Cam?

Why can't the American Dream come to Rotherham?

    But,
68m is a fare hit for a state of the art Training complex.
And of course, Seattle Sounders Geographical location compared to ours.

Being pedantic, just because it once caught me out in a quiz, it's actually "If you build it, HE will come"

I agree $68M is a fair chunk of change for a training facility and yes as I posted somewhere, their nearest rivals are 160 miles to the North (Vancouver) and 190 miles to the South (Portland) so the catchment is huge and includes not only Seattle but 3 other largish cities within 30 miles.

The key is you just don't make it a training facility for RUF but have parts of it available for the rest of the community, retail and dining experiences and throw in good transportation to boot (a bit like NYS should be).

American dream can't come to rufc because Tony Stewart won't let it.

Working man club owned by a working man

Your obsession with Mr Stewart is on a par Gru's dugout obsession.

Interesting that Sheffield Council are in the news today for finally paying off the loans from the world student games. Taking out such loans was the only way to get things built.

Same with Bawtry Road or Roundwood loans will be needed and a pay back period agreed.

Assets to back the loans would also be needed, should the club default on the loans.

Richardson can't let this drag on and needs written confirmation, that while we build a new training complex, we rent from Donny or Barnsley while this is completed. It's absolutely crazy nothing has been done for so many years when Roundwood has been condemned by every manager we've had.

    How's that work?

Out of work manager gets RUFC job after a number of other managers turn the job down. Manager approaches trigger happy chairman and starts making demands.

Pretty sure I know where that ends.

Surely the task of asking for better facilities lies with the Director of football operations and not the 1st team coach.

Which ones, and how much did they spend?
