All communication with outside world is limited, either being strictly filtered or completely cut off. Whether it is a monastery or a behind-closed-doors cult, isolation from the ideas, examples and distractions of the outside world turns the individuals attention to the only remaining form of stimulation, which is the ideology that is being inculcated in them.

This even works at the intrapersonal level, and individuals are discouraged from thinking incorrect thoughts, which may be termed evil, selfish, immoral and so on.

Aye, norder, and that is another problem because so many people are trying to find the 'meaning of life' or to 'find myself' etc. that they don't live a life that they could be living and enjoying they will continue trying to discover the perfect life.

What a waste of time that is, FIFFA will have manufactured the perfect game of football before anyone finds the meaning of life.

My old mate from Sheffield was sunk three times during WWII and lost a lot of mates in these actions but he survived and his advise to me as "Your only here once so just make sure that you give the ball a bloody good kick!" and I have been doing that for the past 48 years no matter what is thrown up. That is the meaning of life to me, it craps on you from a great height sometimes but just sort it out!

"If lockdowns don’t work why are most countries using them. It worked in aching where they were locked down for 6 months.
You are a man of common sense. If people can’t mix then they can’t spread any infections to others and as their immune system kills off the virus the virus should die out. However if people ignore lockdowns and don’t wear masks when they have the virus and no symptoms then it spreads, schools are spreading it as they aren’t locked down.
    Simple really."

People cannot ignore lockdowns OC, if the shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes, sports stadia, theatres, cinemas, museums, art ********* etc are closed, then people cannot go to them. People are wearing masks where they are required to wear them, you cannot go into a shop, supermarket, bank, garden centre, and when they were open cafes, pubs and restaurants as well, if you're not wearing mask, people are even wearing them when alone in their cars and I've seen cyclists in the countryside wearing them, you cannot get on a train or bus without wearing a mask.

We had a 12 week lockdown in Spring, we had a four week lockdown in November, (a 'circuit breaker' they called it, good job they're not electricians) that ended only a couple of weeks ago, we've had strict Tier restrictions since October and we've been wearing masks for 6 months.

The question is, if lockdowns and masks work, why is the virus ripping through the country right at this moment ? The evidence would seem to indicate they don't work, agreed ?

We’re having a robust debate Sinkov Im not your enemy.

What you haven’t answered is what are your motives in undermining politicians, public health, government statistics, WHO protocols, lockdowns, masks, vaccine use, testing for the virus and more. It seems to be an obsession for what purpose, to destroy madders confidence and promote viral spread? Politicians are getting the blame for the actions of people changing the dynamics, doing what it seems you want and spreading the virus faster whilst the virus is always mutating.

You haven’t answered Who are behind lockdownsceptics, what are their political aims? To undermine politicians, governments, promote insurrection, division, destroy public confidence in healthcare, the media, pharmaceutical industry?? All of these it seems to me, They are anonymous but taking your money - for what?

A lot of people have put massive effort trying to respond in unprecedented speed to produce tests, develop treatments that protect people and cut death rates. Trials take years to set up and run, yet here we are after 9 months with vaccines approved for use, millions of vaccines produced and in use, much reduced death rates from better treatments yet to you nothing is right.

You and your colleagues in lockdownsceptics do them a great disservice and treat them all with great disrespect

I’m not going to bore everyone arguing the points I made earlier on all of those posts. If if anyone is interested they can read my comments on them, which mostly were about challenging your interpretations of them.

On the last two I told you infection cases defined waves not deaths and showed you WHO definition of waves after you quoted BMJ articles about deaths in waves being the definition but the article did not say that.
Your website cited the CDC report on vaccines but then chose to try to scaremonger from a comment on a table, not from the text and ignore the fact the text actually says there were only 6 anaphylactic deaths. This is misinterpretation deliberate or accidental.

I think that’s enough I don’t think I will convince you and you won’t convince me, but it would be good to hear what your motivation is for all this.

    Sinkow Sorry aching was China.

I see you must now be accepting Gov stats on cases showing trends despite some possible inaccuracies. That was hard work!

The reasons it’s spreading are undoubtedly multifactorial and part must be non-compliance with or unawareness of changing restrictions, mask wearing, hand washing, keeping distances and more.
We forget the average reading age of the UK population is 9 years The Guardian has a reading age of 14 and the Sun has a reading age of 8.
Some ethic groups live in large numbers in one household, the homeless don’t have media access. Many people cant read or speak English - 130000 in the 2011 census. 4 million speak other languages, Polish 500k being the largest then.
Keeping schools open has certainly created spread in young ones as our three of our grandchildren had symptoms and three more have been isolated for classmates infections. Allowing mixing in restaurants with 1m distancing or match attendance hasn’t helped. The government have tried to keep parents happy and business afloat, public health would have lockdown everyone again.

The new variants seem to be a large factor, with higher spreadability, but research has to show it. That takes months or even years to do properly, but that’s what the experts are saying.

Hope that helps, I’m sure there are other reasons. Just look at the US to see what inaction has caused.

The Government is considering proposals to limit people to just one dose of the Covid jab in order to allow more people to be vaccinated as quickly as possible.

Whitehall sources said "live conversations" are going on with regulators after calls for the move were made by a number of experts, including the Government's former director of immunisation.

Professor David Salisbury, who led the programme at the Department of Health until 2013, said he would "strongly urge" the Government to use the current doses available on as many risk groups as possible.
