Yet still no dedicated LB. Antonee Robinson from Fulham should fit the model - young and American.

    Full disclosure.... I'm a yank.

Personally, it makes me very nervous to be so heavily weighted on them. Other than Keepers we really don't produce world class players. It's not quality of the athlete that's the concern. It's the coaching. we don't produce world class coaches so the players, unless they've developed overseas in some youth academy, are pretty much doing it on pure athleticism. It shows once they hit the world's big time teams.

Diogo Monteiro will land in Leeds today with his entourage ahead of his permanent transfer from Swiss side Servette.

The Portuguese youth international will initially link up with Leeds’ under 21 squad, and turns 18 on Saturday.

Love the long term vision. it's the hallmark of the best teams.

However, it's scary stuff when you are in the relegation battle and you have to survive in order to utilize the long term plan.

That is the long term plan as we get relegated the youth will get us back up. But hold on why we getting rid of them lately I see the under 21s gone from undefeated to getting beat. They must be trying to get them relegated also after they were already relegated must be a thing with our team and relegation.

    Huh?

We’ve not been relegated for years. 16 years out. 2 years in. Get real.

you know more about football than I do but I can't picture any upside to getting relegated? Am I missing something?

I hope our new owners (49's) understand that this is not throwball. In yank sports there is a definite advantage to tanking a pro team and ending up with higher level draft picks. Since there's no relegation, no youth develoment academies and you get TV money regardless of how poor you are the advantage of getting to pick higher in the draft can be substantial. Sucks for the fans but then again the whole concept of being "annointed" as a pro team really is not good for fans at all. It's the least competitive form of pro sport on the planet. That is unless you overlook the homer refereeing that the big 6 enjoy in the prem.

Lol under 21s got relegated last season to premier 2 and 2 seasons back seniors in relegation zone
More satire get with it lol.
But the under 21 were flying this season till they started loaning and getting rid of youngsters now they lost 2 on the top after been unbeaten.
Point in making is bringing in another supposed superstar youngster for the 21s so what has happened to the other supposed superstars we have brought in for the future.
