Another deflected Dzsudzsák goal, Rui Patrício no chance with that, 3-2.

Ronaldo again, no stopping that header from him, 3-3.

I prefer games like this one, both Hungary and Portugal have gone for it, sharing six goals between them. England to face Iceland in the round of six****.

Whilst I have no wish to insult Iceland, it does seem that Christmas may have come early for England after all. If England can't manage to reach the QF on Monday they will surely be the laughing stock of World football. However, the icing on the cake must surely be
the news that C.Ronaldo and Portugal will have to play Croatia in the 'Round of Six****' (I wish them luck with that). On any other day the two goals scored by C.R. deserved greater luck....but perhaps justice has been served after all. The look on his face at the end of the game said it all. I imagine J.D.W. (and others) will be doing cartwheels tonight !!!....I know I am

Republic of Ireland finally get their goal against Italy, Robbie Brady's header, they've kept on going and get their reward. The longer the game was going i thought they had blown it, especially with the chance squandered just before from Hoolahan.

Fair play to the ROI, had a penalty appeal turned down in the first half and had to put up with the usual Italian dirty tricks in the penalty area, Italy did have two decent chances with both Zaza and Insigne going close. The only thing that matters though is Brady's goal that wins the game and puts ROI through to the next round.

Love that Grizz, "the Icing on the cake". Did you mean it?

As in "Iceland" of course. Although in the local language the word means Island.

Germany, Italy, Spain, France and England all on one side of the bracket. Belgium and Portugal have no excuses for deep runs in this tournament. Though I hope they both falter.

My hope is an Italy-Poland final in honor of my grandparents.

Hopefully now that the round of six**** games are here, we will see some open games and certain teams coming out and attacking the opposition.

Switzerland v Poland first up this afternoon.

1-0 Poland, Blaszczykowski left all on his own at the far post, time to control and then pick his spot.
