Another one off the S, A, and W conveyor belt....he was only the errand boy/tea lad until someone heard him singing in the office one day.
What a lucky break.....

and the conveyor belt just kept on churning them out...ker ching for Stock, Aitkin and Waterman.
Nice bit of Soul to Soul with Karen Wheeler
What a hit this was and still is, played in bars all over the world....
Anyone remember watching 'Harry's Game'? All about the troubles in Northern Ireland in the 80's....very haunting piece of music
One of the good lady's and my favourites....takes us back to when we first met....
Seems to have been around forever..
Hazel Dean...became a big hit in the gay clubs...even she said she didn't know why....
I have to admit I've been looking forward to this '80's thread (loved the '60s one too), but not contributed so far.
Went to see my first gig with a mate in '84 not knowing what to expect and it blew me away, just the live music in particular.
It really changed everything for me musically and I've never looked back, still loving going to see bands/artists big and small in venues big and small to this day well over 30 years later.
Here's the band that started everything for me, a few years before I saw them but there will be more, so I think it's interesting to see the transformation of a stadium filling band even now, with 100 million+ album sales to their name but almost forgotten in their own country these days.
So it's
'' are they still going and didn't they do........''
I deliberately picked one people might actually recognise LOL
Finally for DM for tonight, just a few years later a quite big concert in Pasadena
