Lets put it this way scum. I have seen countless games where a player has used his head in a players chest as a sort of token headbutt. Not one time have I seen them being sent off for it. This twa t couldn't wait to flash his red card. I have not seen one come out quicker even when someone has been properly lamped. Not only that I would have said it was harsh if a pig had been sent off for the same offence.

If we are gonna send Smith off for a handbags at dawn offence there are not gonna be many players left on a pitch on a saturday afternoon.

    It stinks.

The correct punishment would have been a booking for both players at worst. Arguably a talking to would have sufficed as well.

But the ref was in Sky, centre stage, the Mike Dean syndrome

I understand #rufc are appealing Michael Smith’s red card in last night’s derby win at Sheff Wed. I’ve watched it back many times and can’t see anything that warranted a dismissal.

Good luck Smudge but I waint hold me breath with that shower of shyte at the EFL.

Even if Smudge did shove him in the chest with his head which is arguable anyway I think he showed remarkable restraint not to lamp him full stop. The fact his shirt had been torn and he got a bloody lip in the incident also needs to be taken into account.
His shirt actually got torn about 10 minutes earlier I think in another incident, typically, if I remember rightly, that decision went against us as well, and a foul given against Smith.

Correct and it wasn’t the only thing the ref missed that’s why I wasn’t surprised when he produced the red card, he probably had it in his hand just waiting

Correct, the shirt ripping incident wasn't part of the sending off situation.

Sweet revenge for their 2 added time goals a few seasons ago, took me months to get over that UTFM. " Who put the ball in the wendy net..Freddie, Freddie, who put the ball in the wendy net Freddie LA DA PO."

Wow, what a game, i thought a draw would have been a fair result on the balance of play but who cares as we've been on the wrong end of results against these in recent years.
The winning goal by freddie, after the cutting pass to him from tree, was made for him by Lewis Wing's lungbusting run to overlap and give him an option.
Their defender looked as though he was going to go challenge freddie until he saw wing overlapping so dropped off to cover the runner thus allowing freddie to turn inside and......well the rest is history.
I cant explain the knot that was in my stomach when they got that corner with 30 secs, of the 6 mins added, left and thinking "These f*****s will score from this". Earlier in the season when that corner came in, Crooksy would have maybe just hammered it upfield to get it clear, but we've been much better than that in recent months and to counter like we did was nothing short of sensational.
I know their fans are in meltdown, but I thought they played well, as did we, and on that showing they could bounce back.
I thought the sending off was really harsh, and even allowing for that i did think, unlike some on this board, that the referee had a decent game and allowed it to flow, but that's just me.
Onward to Brentford and let's hope they are firing blanks UTM.

The Piggy fans are crucifying Izzy for his poor corner, which I thought was a decent pass.

They also love Wing who they thought was the best player on the pitch...cant disagree

Strange how the biased Sky pundits chose not to focus on what actually happened. All they wanted to do was wrongly accuse Smith of letting the team down. That 's what Smith never does,he is a team player. The ref let us down by his bad refereering. In the first half Wiles was nearly crippled when someone went through with a vicious tackle. That should have been the only red card and once again the Sky clowns just ignored that.
