CAM, once again thanks for that, must take a lot of typing up.

Not really much typing Brin as I just cut and paste once I find the lyrics. Research is what takes most of the time and trying not to duplicate ones we've already had (getting harder as I've covered almost 1,000 songs in all these). This one took about 5 hours to set up and then of course there's keeping everything updated once answers start coming in. On top of all that I have to deal with the dissenters who argue with my decision![]()
Go on! You enjoy the dissent(and Billy J Kramer's version of Trains and Boats and Planes got to Number 12 in the Top 100 in 1965 - I just checked - so it would qualify as a legitimate answer, surely!)
Ever thought of turning your quiz into an App? You could make a fortune!
Seriously - as always, an excellent initiative that keeps a bunch of us happy. Thank you.
Good idea. I'll give you a royalty CT if I ever do
I feel I should clear one thing up, these aren't songs that simply got into the top 100 at any time during a year, they are songs that were in the top 100 UK sales for the year or years as some Christmas hits made it in the list for 2 years. Our old friend Rolf Harris even bridged decades with Two Little Boys that made it into the Top 100 for both 1969 (33rd) and 1970 (5th).
PS Already working on the next one so look out for it around 4pm (UK) Monday.
Yes Thank You we enjoy a good pop quiz.
