Look at the excess deaths tracker for GB in the link John set up - you can see that as the infection rate went down, the excess death rate fell accordingly to normal and even sometimes below normal excess deaths? How could cancers/strokes, suicides/obesity etc rise and fall so dramatically?
I already covered my opinions the NHS was all but closed to non-Covid illnesses, I also don’t have to account for it, you and John should as it’s your link

Anymore for anymore before I retire for the evening?

John, what time do you want me here tomorrow and I’ll try and re-organise my lunch break?

We can all apply our own version of critical thinking dependent on where we find ourselves in the argument. If you don’t like the ONS data you should challenge it directly with them instead of hiding on a football website.
I don't have any issue with the data. It's the ridiculous and unsustainable interpretation that you put on it

But, then again, it wasn't you who put that interpretation on it, was it. It was some anti-vax anti- lockdown nutter and you just went with the flow. Baaa.

    Nope.

My first degree included courses in microbiology, biochemistry and physiology. I share a house with a microbiologist to whom I can turn to for expert opinion. I evaluate data. I don't borrow interpretations from people on Twitter.

Shame you never looked at the ONS/ PHE figures back in around May 2020 then, because I looked at them, I could see the exaggeration from the government and the media, so could many other people.

So Kerr you are a part time lawyer, part time clinician, scientist, Covid analyst and now an expert in statistics!

    Are you and John twins?

Your posts on Covid generally suggests that you would not have the capacity to make any sense of the data. This posts demonstrates that you don't.

The 'many other people' gives it away. You have been following crap on the internet.

I am not part time at anything save, perhaps, gardening.

You don't have to be a statistician to work out that a death certificate that include other cases of death in addition to Covid does not mean that the person did not die of Covid. You just need a brain, ten seconds of thought and an open mind. I can't work out which one(s) of those you are missing.
