Ironically Grimsby are the team I want us to be, dig out a result by doing what it takes. As others have said I think some are being picked regardless of how they perform in the hope they will come good, Rodrigues needs a session on the bench, at least Sam showed some passion when he came on along with some decent touches. I think if O Brien was around there would have been at least some passion on the pitch in the second half, and if he was fit questions need to be asked why he wasn’t on the bench at all, the thing that was really unacceptable in the second half was the fact we were never first to the ball, Grimsby wanted it more, and it showed.

You’re right, but we can’t write this season off just yet. We are clearly incapable of sustaining any kind of form, which means even the top 3 will be hard again. We need to turn up on Tuesday and start grinding out some results, before the season gets away from us.

We do appear to lack character when we’re up against it, though. Maybe that’s a case of having too many “nice” players - Brunt being the latest - and we need a better mix of silk and steel. Also sounds like it’s time to bench a few and shake things up a little.

There is never any excuse for being outfought, but it does sound like Hurst won the tactical battle today as well.

Anyone who thinks we're getting out of this league anytime soon is deluded

First half we should have scored at least three, but the second half we were dross. It was obvious Grimsby were pressing high and trying to trap us in our own half, but we kept trying to play out from the back and inviting trouble, and eventually we found it. There has to be a more direct Plan B when opponents work out how to stop Plan A, otherwise we're just a one dimensional team. Another great goal by Cal Roberts today and we created and missed many other good chances, but we're not getting the scruffy goals like Grimsby did today.

We all woke up a couple of weeks ago looking forward to the Barnet game and getting up to 2 points a game and really getting stuck in to the chase for top spot.

I’ve never known a season to go wrong quite so quickly. I want to be in the alternate universe where that game went ahead.

We need a Warnock style down here in the NL. No , we can't write the season off but confidence is falling

Have to say we were poor, thought Wooton and Rodriguez were especially, they got bossed, no point people screaming go long as they were never going to win anything. I think it’s time Eli gets his chance now in the starting lineup. Roberts was our best player by a country mile, I would have Vincent back in too for Brunt. Top spots gone and top 3 has to be target but as many will feel at the moment that just getting in the playoffs is the biggest challenge, a very bad week at the office.

They weren’t playing Warnock style, just got first to the ball and had high energy, we seemed to have none.

We’ve certainly hit a bad patch but hopefully it’ll only be a short one. I still expect us to reach the playoffs and once you get there, anything can happen.
