Liverpool FC to make £3.2m profit on ex-Preston North End centre-back Ben Davies.
Liverpool paid Preston North End £500,000 for centre back Ben Davies in Winter transfer window 2021
with a possible £1.1m in add-ons if the player achieved the required amount of games.
The player only had 2 brief games for Liverpool, so no add-ons to be paid.
Sheffield United had the player on loan last season, to which they paid a loan fee of £500,000 with a
further payment if the Blades got promotion, which did not happen.
Scottish club Rangers have agreed a package of a £4m fee for Ben Davies, the player to agree personal
terms & have a medical.
Preston North End agreed a sell on clause of 20% so will receive £800,000.
So Liverpool end up with a £3.2m profit on the player, & Preston North End will have received £1.3m
for the player.
Come on we don't need huge spending on signings but there are quite a number out there that are fee free but we have to be more akin to this level of pay to get these players in.The money is there,7 million +Pizza cup income+money from Womens internationals+further sponsorship revenue+increase in season ticket sales.Give the manager the tools of the trade and we can give it a go.Just think about it,we would be idiots not to back this excellent manager we have.
Thats what I've read Avondale, could be how its been put with Liverpool getting £500,000 off the Blades,
so covers the £500,000 invested in the player.
Like you say, should be 20% of £3.5m maybe the original writer of the piece got it wrong, but Liverpool
still making a tidy profit.
Allegedly our Angus is close to agreeing a 2 year deal at Swindon. If true good luck mate & the very best to you & your family.
