I've moved on from Mike Garlick, the dearly departed Altobelli had him well sussed and no mistake. Pace is doing alright, he's trying and God loves a trier.

Yes, my opinion of Pace is improving steadily.He is making a tidy profit on last seasons recruits-long may it continue.

When Mr Pace arrived he found a Premier League club, with the best manager it's ever had, and a Cat One Academy. We no longer have any of those three, the manager has gone, we've been relegated to the Championship and our Academy has lost Cat One status. Mr Pace is indeed trying, very trying.

A). A constant stream of posts on this forum remarked how we all scratched our heads at the effectiveness of 87th minute substitutions. I was often totally confused as to why Barnes was taken off and Vydra came sprinting on with four minutes remaining.

C). I've lost count of the amount of new signings who were not considered to be "Dyche Fit" and never even got off the bench. He might as well as used them outside the ground with the dearly departed Rocky, selling Golden Gamble tickets and the odd signed programme or two.

Did they really ? Have a look at the starting elevens these elite PL managers were putting on the field, compared to our journeymen, have a look at the respective benches, the array of world class players they could bring on, compared to the has-beens and never will be's on our bench.

The fact that these elite teams used to beat us, I suspect, was not overly related to the respective coaching abilities of those prowling their technical areas. Should I even need to be pointing this out to you mon ami, at your age you should at least have a grasp of the basics of the game by now.

I'll be honest CiB I got totally fed up with the dross we were dishing up. This season's home games against Norwich and Watford were "must win" games and we were absolutely shocking.

I might be a lone voice on here (nothing unusual about that!) but quite frankly I'm glad Dyche got the boot, and we have a new imagination running the first team squad.

I might be a lone voice on here (nothing unusual about that!) but quite frankly I'm glad Dyche got the boot, and we have a new imagination running the first team squad.

There was a bit of a boost when Dyche was sacked, but it didn't last, couple of games, and we were back to being outclassed and outcoached again, and down we went. Not even Pep could have saved us, the three worst teams go down every season, no matter who is prancing up and down the touchline.

Not the lone voice really BT I’d been saying for the last two seasons it’s time for a change my old man’s been watching over 65 years now and every week the subject in the car was the same he’s got to go , with the exception of the palace game and Everton at home there weren’t many positives, there’s many a discussion to be had though on was it Dyche tactics ( or lack off ) recruitment, stubbornness etc etc but in the end imo anyway that all still came down to the manager , we’re an understanding lot at Burnley and for years since I was a small boy the people want to see good football ( like the good old days ) people around me demand to be entertained- for whatever reason you can find the latter part of our Premiership stay that wasn’t the case it didn’t happen so with regret Bt I’m agreeing with you again ( that’s 3 times I think of late ) - the only bit that hangs a bit different with me is how it happened to Dyche can’t say I’m glad just wish he’d have changed and tried stuff and maybe walked away with dignity instead of the shock sacking .
