If we find a player that will improve this squad longterm that's fine, but the responsibility for turning things around lies squarely on the shoulders of the players who have got us where we are.
Tbh a new player coming in at this point could be unhelpful.

Big Tone really did pull off a smoke and mirrors job with the squad didn’t he? At the beginning of 2020/21 we started with Shankland, Clark, Appere and added to it soon after with McNulty. Then the following season he flew ‘replacing’ Shankland with McNulty completely under the radar, sold Appere, sold Clark and then the only other forward (who ‘replaced’ Appere) we did bring in was sent on loan. Now we are left with Fletcher, and, er, that’s it really.

If I was a conspiracy theorist (which I might be) I would "guess" that Tony was blaggin' a job he had no experience of doing. He found someone to finance his soundbite ideas, and just took the dosh, until (too late for us) he got fund oot tae.

I’m absolutely with you on MO. In my mind the only thing he is guilty of is naïveté. He has done everything he said he would in terms of ploughing in money, and, whisper it, actually making a profit last season. However although in my mind he has entered with good intentions, he has been totally taken in by a borderline fraud who has used his money to play real life Football Manager, where in Big Tone’s fantasy mind he was taking United to Champions League glory. Whilst as a nice sideline, profiting his and his cronies own business, Revolution Sports.
