We couldn’t attract them after the cowboy clown when we were still in the prem.
    We’re worse off now.

Have to disagree a bit on the analysis. MB obviously saw the potential. Totally revived his career. The same potential is still there for the right coach. we also have a whole lot more money than we did when MB came in. It takes someone that's a little down on their repuation and needs to prove themselves again.

do that job and you are in the prem. The best league in the world. Lose, and it's just a matter of an inept ownership/management group.

Few, if any, more intense and dedicated fans. Something that some coaches never experience. Citeh, Chelsea and some of the other prem teams have thousands of fans dressed as seat covers.

It's a super high risk/high return job if you succeed.

    Just sayin

Sorry m8, no there isn't (the same potential), as a great many players who Bielsa saw as unrealised stars are either no longer with us (Alioski, Klich, Hernandez etc), or spent forces (Bamford, Ayling. Cooper) and no there isn't a "whole load of money", only to acquire the remaining shareholding (£170m) rather than filling the gaps that will be created by those mentioned above (and others) being lost to the 1st team squad, and/or plugging the gaps created by the departure of players such as Rodrigo, Adams, Wober, Koch, Gnonto, Meslier, none of whom can be blamed for wanting away from a basket case of a club with no agreed ownership structure, no coach/management team, and a 1st team that will disintegrate once the EFL give the green light for the takeover to be completed.

And if you're down on your luck at present, is this basket case a realistic "opportunity" to improve matters, brave person who thinks so.

Curious as who would have more money than us in the championship?

The other relegated teams who's owners have no buy-out to fund, all those previously relegated but still in receipt of parachute payments, most of those who were close to promotion last season, all the abive without the staggering amount if new players required that we do (or will once the transfers out start).

Looks like we will sell/loan out

    Harrison
    Rodrigo
    Koch
    Firpo
    Roca

Not clear on others so that should bring in a chunk of cash.

    Aaronson
    Adams
    Summerville
    Gnonto

Could all be highly sought after too.

That coupled with parachute payments, large crowds, tv money should but us in a good position.

Some of those with parachute paymwnts have gone back up - some such as Baggies no longer have them.

Finances are not likely to be our issue.

    Just a bit of info on those in the investment group we know about;

    https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/l...leeds-27160271

So of the $5.97billion that Forbes say the group is worth, $5.3 would presumably be accredited to Lowy, the rest are frankly bit players, none with much more than $120m which compared to other "players" in the football club ownership market is piddly pops. So presumably Lowy will be the one to dig into his pockets.

Fact is we don't know how much money will be made available (we can make a reasonably shrewd guess that none of the minor members will devote their entire net worth to LUFC!), and probably never will. What we do know is that several key players have release clauses in their contracts that would allow for drastically reduced transfer fees now we are relegated (Rodrigo for instance, on a £3m release fee). We also know that the vultures are circling round a number of such players (Gnonto, Summerville, Koch etc) so the demand for their services is clear, the amount we might get is much less so (thanks again Victor).

No other club in the Championship faces the kind of structural upheaval we do with no manager/coach and no 1st team coaching staff, none have as little in the way of corporate infrastructure in place to make preparations for the new season viable as LUFC, no other club in the Championship has a 1st team squad that has the need for strengthening and/or outright replacement that is required at LUFC.

By any rational measure and/or assessment, LUFC is not "fit for purpose".

The only organisation that might pay decent money for Aaronson is the Royal Ballet.
