Let?s be honest about all our current striking options??we couldn?t really get much worse from our youth players. We would be better off giving them experience. I would prefer they were working with better professionals but that is another debate.

What I will state is that if we have a team of youth players (whose next step up is the first team) who are the best in the country it doesn?t say much for our top team coaches especially when we are toiling that they won?t try them out.

You get better at things with experience. Not getting the opportunity is hindering everyone when you are good at your game.
I guess if your theory is correct then Ryan Duncan will be coming back a better player after the experience he had had playing for Queen?s Park this season.

He should be. I hope he has training as hard as possible to give himself an opportunity to stand out and show his ability.
Let?s be real here?he would certainly have done better than say Okkels who we took on loan. I would much rather Duncan was playing than him.

I see we are really tooling up for our preparation for the cup final but maximising our training sessions to 1.5 hours daily. Nobody staying behind to do extra practice.
The excuse of it only being Tuesday doesn?t wash with me. This could be the very reason the Celtic players find it easy against us. They would have easily doubled that training time at least.

Yes. I was in Celtic?s training facilities for a few days and that team trained for approximately 3.5 hours (including change etc). We could easily prepare better for matches ourselves. Take a leaf out of their book.

That will be one of the main reasons they are streets ahead of us football wise.

I want Aberdeen to have the best manager in the country but Jimmy Turnip is miles off it. There is more of an argument that any other manager in our league with his budget would have us in a better place than we currently occupy.
I am positive that if Brendan Rodgers was Aberdeen manager and had the funds Thelin had been given he would easily have us higher up the table than where we are.
I don?t see the fuss for the Turnip. We have poor goalkeepers, poor defenders, poor midfielders and poor attackers. We offer no real threat from corner kicks or set pieces and only play the one way which is easy to read and play against (if you are a decent coach).
We might win the Scottish Cup but it will be like winning a prize draw because it will only be won out of luck. We aren?t going to win the cup by being better prepared than them. They are streets ahead of us in that respect. They definitely work harder than us and that cannot be argued against. It might register with the posters who refuse to look at what they see.
Have you changed your name to Red Turnip yet?

Well, it's been 16 days since he last won a cup, so if Postecoglu at Tottenham is anything to go by, then Jimmy will be getting the dunt today.
