If, as suggested by himself, he wanted assurances that he would get regular first team starts/opportunities, the money side of things become secondary. Not totally irrelevant, but very much secondary.

The amount of talk about what we are missing out on now he's tearing it up in the league below I'm beginning to think he was actually a bit of a superstar last season and we've made a massive mistake. Should have kept him and sold Roberts or Enzio.

I urge everyone to read the recent performances from one of our own!! A young talented player treated harshly by Mr Ardley and never given a decent run in the side to demonstrate his potential. He is the star man at Leamington FC and us scoring freely and running the show. He scored 2 and made most of all the forward play in last game away at high flying Curzon. What we could do with him and Ruben in midfield along with one battler, my god we would tear up teams with speed and energy. No more side of back passing from the old guys!!!

Scored 2 yesterday the last one of the two was world class apparently, also won national north player of the month for November.
Definitely one that got away that will go on to player higher than Non League Notts unfortunately just like your Gibson and Bishop.

I'm not, tongue was firmly placed in cheek for that whole paragraph Warsop.

Every club has dozens and dozens of examples of letting players go who go on to be more successful elsewhere. Notts obviously being no exception, but it's far too early to say if Osborne will be added to this list regardless of how impressive he's being in the league below.

For THIS season I'd rather have both Roberts and Enzio over Osborne and by some distance.

If he wanted regular football, and we couldn't give it, then it's right he moves on.
