All of my posts are based on a logical, rational personal belief that I just don't think Neal Ardley is capable of taking my club forward. It started on the 19th of February 2019 when Newport stuffed us at home, and it was confirmed on 4th of May 2019 when defeat at Swindon cost us our league status. I can honestly say hand on heart I have really hoped he would prove me wrong, but I still can't see any evidence that he will.
Have to say that while I am not in the Ardley out camp, I was very concerned by his tactics tonight. More worried about the opposition than confident in his own.

Said all along we would be play offs , let hope Ardley does not bow that too, your only concerned about his tactics now ?? They have never changed in more than 2 years he has been here
Dark evening , now 11 points behind Torquay, and another goal from a set piece, where they had 2 headers un challenged
Notts never kill teams off, ang go into the closing stages with any team still able to win , tonight went against us

If supporters there, Notts would been booed off

According to Ardley we signed him to give us, among other things, more height at set pieces.

Exactly - never kill teams off , then go into the later stages, when either team can win- tonight it went against us

I've stopped getting mad with losing at home to teams like Borehamwood. I'm now comfortable with the fact we're crap, have no real ambition to get out this league quickly and have settled in for the long haul. Maybe one day we'll get serious about getting out the league but knowing us it'll be in the wrong direction. Thanks for the memories Notts, I cannot equate my youth or even young adulthood watching you to this tripe on offer.

    RIP.

Only consolation hopefully is, Agent Ardley won't be here next season because he won't get us up. He is a very nice man though

I agree. There is no pride in supporting Notts these days, just embarrassment. This isn't the team we all started supporting, it's a shadow of itself. Mediocre players in a shocking league. The sides in the Conference this season are rubbish. I heard somebody describe Torquay as 'exceptional' earlier! Really?! If we don't get back to the league this season, I fear for the future.

The teams we have lost to this season alone show that we are now truly non league.

That was me that said exceptional and what I meant by that was you have be head and shoulders above everyone else at your level winning a lot of games regularly and consistently throughout the season to get automatic promotion. Especially at this level.

It’s not to be confused with comparisons with teams in leagues one, two for example.

Yes it hurts to see our automatic promotion hopes fading as the gap widens but the reality is 1/4 way in and we have not been exceptional compared to every other team we have played at our level so far otherwise we would be top. Torquay have.

    Totally agree MM.

At the risk of stating the flippin' obvious, the team that gets the one automatic spot, is the team that dominates throughout the season.
So far it's the boys down in Devon, previously, Barrow, Brizzle Rovers, Cheltenham, Macc', etc.
    They don't lose many.

I will be very interested to see how good Stockport are on the TV shortly. One of the YouTube Notts lads said that Cal Roberts was the best player in the NL. I think it's Rooney at Stockport.

Notts are a million miles from being that dominant force.
