me too but it would be lovely to make the top 6 so we know we cant be relegated!

I'm not overly bothered but prefer to finish above the likes of livi and st mirren more often than not even if our first season back, if the opportunity is there to do it, then let's try

Obviously the positive to top 6 is the extra money, but having 5 games against the weaker teams in the league could be good for building momentum heading into next season

I still say that I wish we'd finished bottom 6 in 14/15, Jackie maybe wouldnt have been given that summer to f ucking destroy us with his signing policy if he had been pumped off the sh1ter teams in the league (which would have happened).

I would always want to be in top 6 - that is where we should aim to be consistently as a club

Another point on that though is that I have gone through the matches in my head (more when it is was looking like we might get dragged into a relegation scrap) and it seems like we have more home matches to come against bottom half teams.

We would be due another home match against rossco, Killie, Hamilton and Motherwell - would we have to swap one of those out if we were in bottom 6 ??!??

Three at home and two away if you played 16 home games before the split and vice versa if you played 17 games. I think without checking that we will have played 17 games at home so we would have to forfeit two of those home games possibly.

Hopefully away to one of the teams with a real pitch & not some plastic nonsense, preferably County.

Thanks both. Yes avoid the plastic pitches !!!

That’s a possible incentive to try and be in the top 6 - only potentially the Livi plastic to deal with. I think we would be due another home game then

Finishing in the top six would be a massive achievement for United given we’ve hardly changed the playing personnel. Bottom six would give me the fear no matter who we played or on whatever surface it happened to be.

Top six means guaranteed Premiership status next season That was the be all and end all of me wanting us there, because while we're bottom six anything can happen. I'm feeling more confident now after the weekends win however.
