Unfortunately there is slight movement of his head in an aggressive way so there's intent.
That's probably a seasons worth of frustration in being kicked all over the park

I understand #rufc are appealing Michael Smith’s red card in last night’s derby win at Sheff Wed. I’ve watched it back many times and can’t see anything that warranted a dismissal.

Good luck Smudge but I waint hold me breath with that shower of shyte at the EFL.

Even if Smudge did shove him in the chest with his head which is arguable anyway I think he showed remarkable restraint not to lamp him full stop. The fact his shirt had been torn and he got a bloody lip in the incident also needs to be taken into account.
His shirt actually got torn about 10 minutes earlier I think in another incident, typically, if I remember rightly, that decision went against us as well, and a foul given against Smith.

Correct and it wasn’t the only thing the ref missed that’s why I wasn’t surprised when he produced the red card, he probably had it in his hand just waiting

Correct, the shirt ripping incident wasn't part of the sending off situation.

Not only that I would have said it was harsh if a pig had been sent off for the same offence.

If we are gonna send Smith off for a handbags at dawn offence there are not gonna be many players left on a pitch on a saturday afternoon.

    It stinks.

The correct punishment would have been a booking for both players at worst. Arguably a talking to would have sufficed as well.
    Couldn't agree more!

Like I said last night and 'MillerBill' mentions further up, Sky comms kept saying oh yes there is something, oh yes a coming together etc etc but they didn't say AT ALL what he was meant to have done. I know Hendrie is as thick as the proverbial two short planks (nice enough guy but he is), he, nor the main comms could say what Smudge was supposed to have done. Ump**** replays so why couldn't they? I don't usually jump on the ref bandwagon but that red was out in lightning speed. Appalling decision! It was an absolute nothing set to. See it up and down in every game and it's a simple keep them apart like Wing did and get on with the game. Shocking decision and my mind is set on that. For the record I think we can do well still even without the big man, just an appalling decision. Another against us. Always against. Ref did well before that minus Smudge having his shirt ripped off him.

Also when Wing hit the post he would have had his shorts pulled off him if he wasn't so quick

It did go against us, it was astonishing. The only person to foul someone and get his own shirt ripped open.

Me neither, fully agree about the saves. Well done indeed. 1 hero in a team of heroes.
Despite what some might think , I love this lad in goal, and our own player as well, at long last.

Reading the comments on the pig site they couldn’t see a sending off offence, that says a lot.

That said I think the Bournemouth fans would have seen it differently as they don’t like any physical contact on any of their players
