O/T:- 🏏The other Notts [Cricket]

Lost - back to a normal Notts collapse

Even though it was a nothing game, that was a pretty poor effort from Notts. We looked set for 200+ for most of the innings, but a lower order collapse meant we set them a modest 173. I suppose we did well to take it to the last over, but losing to the bottom team isn't good.

A steady start for Notts Seconds. Mind you, it’s one thing losing your top players to internationals but, when your run of the mill county players are unavailable too, I wonder what the point is really.

Another ton for Hameed, looks like he is getting back to being the player he was as a youngster. It is a shame Notts look like losing him to England now

The problem I have with this competition is that they aren't "the other Notts", and also I'm struggling to see it as proper cricket. I watched some of the first game on BBC2, and found it weird. The scorecard graphics were very strange, and seeing the likes of Joe Root and Dawid Malan play a home game at Trent bridge was something alien to me.



Saying that, some of them are the other Notts, and following it online Matt Carter and Samit were the stand-out bowlers.

Totally agree with this. It's nothing to do with Nottinghamshire CCC (other than the venue and a couple of players).
The Rockets aren't my team and I have no allegiance to them at all.
The on screen graphics are horrible and so are the team kits.

It’s my least favourite form of cricket but I fancied going this Friday and I must say seeing Hales brought down to earth by being hit not just once but twice in his Crown Jewels did bring a smile to my face 🤣 Cruel I know but I think he does rate himself far too highly at times !
