Interestingly this was a surprisingly complimentary comment from a Cheaterfurlough fan who was at our game today with his Notts supporting Dad, commenting on a Wrexham fan vlog...
"As a chesterfield fan I went to the game and watching the standard of that game I have no idea how we are top and Notts around 5th ish. I know Wrexham were on 10 men but Notts looked like the non league Barcelona (when they were good) Good luck to Paul Mullin in the Olympic diving championship"
Made me smile anyway![]()
Just a bunch of bad losers who can't accept they were beaten by the better team..
Listened to the commentary. Could have saved myself some blood pressure but I didn't notice I was about 15mins behind real time.
Good win but I always feel a bit cheated in games where there's an early sending off (yes an outfield player impersonating a goalie is a pen and a red).
Charlie is now admitting that his early disapproval of Ardley's dismissal was premature and he's coming around to the better brand of positive football that IB has introduced, with everyone fitting in to the style regardless of squad selection.
It's still early days but a 10 game winning streak would make the last few weeks interesting. A bit of a battle though to get top spot after that careless 3 match losing patch.
COYP.
Wow after reading redpassion, (their fans chatroom) I am sure I have never read such a load of hatred fuelled garbage in my life. I suggest they stick to rugby and sheep shagging as they were happy to tell us that is what they are 🤣
In that case you should get out more. Just like NCM, Redpassion is a typical footy messageboard. Some negative, some positive, but in the grand scheme of things populated by proper fans.
I'm interested to see whether your "I suggest they stick to rugby and sheep shagging" comment will draw a racist reaction from a certain poster on here, or whether he will be a hypocrite!
It’s a great result.
I think looking at the fixtures you’ve got to fancy us if we are within touching distance come the run in.
Our last 8 games as things stand are against 8 of the current bottom 9!
Generally teams that win the title have a six game winning run or two during the season. We have the perfect opportunity to go on a six game winning streak having won the last three league games and the next three games being against Dover, Barnet and Wealdstone.
Our last four home games against Kings Lynn, Wealdstone, Dover and Altrincham are going to be the ones we need to win as we will be at the business end of the season.
So there is a great opportunity to put ourselves right up there if we can win our next three and last six games. It's shaping up to be a very exciting second half of the season.
A vlog from a neutral who watched from the Spion Kop yesterday. His first National League game and he is impressed. He's there with some Cambridge fans who seem to have come to watch Paul Mullin score a hat trick. Oops
