When we were doing well at start of the season we had some semblance of wingers in pawlett and niskanen, problem is they haven’t been very good or consistent, and there is no one to replace them, apperre and chalmers would be obvious replacements from the bench (they have been poor too, not least against St. John when they got their chance). No problem letting them go, but we’ve not replaced them, ideally with a pacey winger as we have literally no one with pace anywhere in team to get us up the pitch quickly. Last 3 bottom 6 opponents we have played st mirren, county, Dundee all had pacey direct players that could get them up the pitch, we are laboured in comparison.

Too many central mids who all like to pass, no ball carriers, and no outlets wide. The forwards, watt aside, can’t create anything for themselves, and lack pace.

Pawlett/Clark etc are ok squad players, but not mainstays, how often do they come off bench and look ok, then disappear when starting. I’d just try stick with pawlett and niskanen as wingers. Actually didn’t think harkes was as bad as other people thought last night. General standard of match was terrible However.

    Spot on mate. Good post.

We could do worse than bring in Barker, short term, as a free agent if he's a serious option. He'd get us up the park and inject some real pace. Better than Niskanen imo.

This only ever happens with you, nothing else to it. You must think its OK talking down to folk and trying to make it look witty. I see you for what you are, just not as funny as you try to be. As I said, have a nice day.

I doubt age had anything to do with why he didn't get on the park. At the point when we needed to change the game, a defensive midfielder wasn't what we required

Agree with lots here but I'm not calling for Tams head just yet. The shoehorning has to stop neither clark not mcnulty are good enough. clark beats mcnulty just now but isn't a no10. what 1 win in 8 league games and in those games we have had 2 or 3 games with no shots on target and something like 11 shots in total on target ish. Thats pretty clear things aint working. The one thing is the defence and bringing youth into it they all seem to produce very decent performances. Graham did very well. Also Tam is reorganising the defence to ensure exposure is minimal. Hopefully we can get Akinola playing that will bring a new dimension as he appears to want to go forward (not sure if he can do it at this level but lets hope he can) and a fit McDonald could be good. I would like pace as well somewhere. The bad run coincided with loads of double standards on covid and injuries. Tam has shown some defensive nouse but by god someone needs to tell him that front 3 doesn't work, no idea who to play up with Watt tbh

The thing is, some folk are saying the problem is the midfield as it's not creating chances. Well, against St Mirren and the fun we've created absolute sitters that the strikers have missed. ☹️

Totally agree re the age thing and im not too sure why its came up especially when a 20 yr old Ross Graham has came in and played a half away to Celtic and a full game away to The FUN and not looked out of place one bit. Is the young Gooner a defensive midfielder though? Fuchs is probably classed as a DM but he proved he can play a bit too.......every game in its own way is massive now so do we keep him on the bench or do we unleash him? I say unleash him......or will that be the Akinola Tombola🤷*♂️ I thought their RB had a decent game and didn't look nervous to me.

It's really bad we never managed a shot on target last night. Even in the final 15 when we were totally dominating we couldn't muster one. Piss poor really.
