If we don't pick up at least 4 points from the next 2 games then Ardley will have been sacked with a better record at the same stage of the season than Burch will have.

As for potentially not even making the play offs. With Grimsby now level on points with us, it looks a reasonable possibility tonight and not so much hyperbole. There wouldn't be much hope finishing 6th or 7th and facing two away games to get to Wembley either. We've got to be aiming for 3rd at least for a decent stab at going up.

I fully expect us to win the next three games, but if not, with the games that follow, we could well be entering a whole new level of darkness.

Luton never finished lower than 7th at this level. Tranmere's worst was 6th, Oxford 9th.

I'm not liking Rodrigues as a partner for Wootton. I can see the thinking that he scores a fair number of goals, but I think he's at his best attacking from a midfield position rather than playing like a supporting striker. Eli Sam certainly showed enough on the ball in his cameo today to warrant more of a chance.

As others have said, I can't for the life of me see why Vincent has been dropped for Brunt. Vincent gives us some fizz and his arrival in the team earlier this season coincided with our good run, plus he's got a goal in him. Brunt I'm sure has talent but he hasn't shown it yet, and on the evidence so far he contributes nowhere near as much energy to the team as Vincent. He appears to have been given 'first choice' status without earning it.

I was fuming when I saw the team inside the ground, Vincent is far better than blunt, wake up Burchnall.

Anybody else think Colin Slater's send off was a bit of a damp squib ?
It was built up as a real fanfare.
The usual applause and a some photos on the scoreboard.

Yeah but he also relegated us dont forget plus signed over 40 players.

IB is unlikely to be axed in a few games imo.

Its also worth remembering he doesnt sign the players he is only head coach.

Agree, our performances improved a lot more when Vincent came in, he dropped off a touch but he’s like a terrier in the midfield, wins a few balls, pulls players out of position and does have moments of quality and also he’s our own player so better he develops and gets experience than a loanee.
