I’d be happy if it was Williamson. Gateshead were very good last season.

Williamson would be the best here by a long shot. Which means we're not going to get him and we'll end up with someone from Denmark who does what the owners tell him with the possibility of 50 passes around the back to make the possession figures look even better!

Williamson was player-manager at Gateshead - not sure how much he played in the NLN at 38.

Some Twitter talk about Kim Engstrom. He has no track record to speak of, so may have a few pining for IB. He could end up being the next Thomas Frank, of course - or the next Frank Spencer.

You can guarantee it’ll be Engstrom announced. As you say, done nothing at all to prove he’s even worth taking a shot, so knowing us, he’s nailed on.

Agreed it would be a totally weird appointment. However, to be fair we do not know a thing about him, so even if it is this guy it is unfair to judge before he (or anyone else) has even joined.
