TTT, everybody is entitled to their opinion, and it didn’t come across that you were trying to defend him. Shedka goes extreme accusing people of hating Harkes, but if you read the various posts, many just don’t rate the guy, and many performances from Harkes actually justify their opinion. I simply want the best for my club, and while he may have done a job over the past few seasons, now we are in the premiership, and pushing for the top half (and Europe), Harkes is simply not good enough, and recent performances show that. A one year extension, bearing in mind that means he will be looking at his next employment at least 6months in advance, further compounds that stupid (in many peoples eyes) decision. What makes it even more annoying for me, is that Harkes stalled that extension, which suggested he was hoping for something better, personally, I would have told him to do one!!

It was very clear he wanted out and he probably would have went English non league if the dollars were right.Our supporters are not stupid and will not forget.It comes across that he did us a favour wasting a year of his career with Dundee United when in reality most of us couldna wait to see the back of him.

Until we have players that can keep possession and work together to create spaces and openings we're not going to win many games. By all accounts I've read from yesterday we struggled to do that yet again.

Looks like Jack Ross is going to earn every penny of his salary.

Lets face it he was out of contract so where were Hearts,Hibs or Aberdeen?.They have signed over 25 players between them but were never linked with him.That should tell you everything you need to know.

Looking at the highlights again its clear that Harkes is furious for missing a sitter and his booking is due to petulance.I really dinna want to be too harsh on him so i will add maybe i'm wrong and he does actually give a phuck about United after all.

Mind you if he doesna get sent aff we are clearly winning that match so i cannie blame boys who spent over a ton yesterday for slating him.

Maybe JR will read the UnitedMad board in future and take heed. He did play Smith ahead of Freeman, obviously doesn't fancy Freeman, how Graham didn't start I'll never know, and he did play the much maligned Ian Harkes and the rookie Cudjoe who I'm told produced nada. Ah well we didn't lose, but we definitely threw away 3 points that were there for the taking.

Hopefully any 2 yellows anywhere anytime rules you out of a Conference League game but no such luck.

I think that's exactly what happened. He knew the header was a great chance that he should have done better with.

Hopefully he comes out on Thursday wanting to make amends for being a bit daft on Saturday (still think second booking is harsh)

He contributed a lot to us even being in a euro tie so one slight bit of frustration from him does not warrant missing it, that's cutting off our nose

We need someone with his energy closing down space in this tie and getting box to box

I wouldn’t go as far as to say we were certs to win the match, but it definitely changed our approach, we stopped being an attacking entity and just sat in, and it gave them a boost. But it became clear our only hope to win was 1-0 after the red, and hope they were too sh1te to capitalise, which they almost were tbf. Think however our lack of clinical edge meant even with we’d have been susceptible to a late nothing to lose bodies pushed up/set piece type sickness.
