Like it or not its going to make Notts a decent chunk of cash so instead of moaning maybe be just go somewhere else? Strange strange post.
My apologies but i just didnt see any vendors, after waiting 15 mins to actually gain entry, it wasnt the best of our first time experience, once in waiting nearly 20 mins to be served, we supped up after that and went to the Navvi which we didnt experience any of those other "niggles". Not a strange post at all, its an observation and comment of what WE experienced.

Who was the ‘WE’ you went with? Aaron Nemane, Adam Campbell and Dion Kelly Evans? No one could look above the crowd either side and see the 3 vendors serving food? 😂

If you aren't a fan of the queues fair play, next time go straight to Lawtons or the Navi where its clear its more catered to yourself. Just thought it was strange to slag it off as a ‘soulless’ venue when its very much in line with most modern big screen setups.

Yes they were certainly there. The Nest could do with a bit of music though.
Strange comments from Dug Out about the Lawton Bar also. Bar named after someone who played for us 70 years ago. Time to move on methinks.

As far as i am concerned Lawton's bar has as much relevance at Meadow Lane and NCFC as the 1862 above the Sirrel stand, i have been going in there since it's inception, its had its problems in the past, flooding etc, there used to be probably hundreds of pictures on the walls relevent to Tommy Lawton, after the re-furb they disapeared.Your comments smack of if its not banging and pretty lights it should be shoved away in a box, "Time to move on youthinks, Time to still hold memories of this once in a lifetime Meadow Lane methinks".

Move on to what? What name would you replace the Lawton bar with?

What I am suggesting is that it is no good living in the past. I would suggest that 80%+ of our support weren't even born at the time. It is of even less relevance than that lot over the river when they keep going on about 2 matches that they won over 40 years ago.
It was suggested by Dug Out that in his view that The Nest was "soulless" and that the Lawton bar was better. Have you been in the Lawton bar (even with the photos)? "Drab" doesn't do it justice. In my view it has only one purpose and that is to be a refuge at half time on a cold wet winters night at half time.
To make matters worse, in his follow up post he then admits that after leaving The Nest he went down the Navi instead of the Lawton bar.

It may need a spruce up I don't know but suggesting we eradicate our history is a bit strange. He was one of the finest players ( if not the finest) to play for Notts. Perhaps we should rename It Vinny Arkins Bar?

I was thinking more along the lines of 'The Duffy/Baldwin/Cameron Experience'. The young 'uns could get falling down drunk in there without trying.

I'm sure you're right with your 80%+ comment, but I see it as remembering the past rather than living in the past. Do we bin the Jimmy & Jack statue in 20 or 30 years time on those grounds? I really hope not.

Maybe i am wrong but you should visit specsavers because i did not write that Lawton's Bar was better, I intended to imply1 that it was more suitable to have a quiet pint, conversation. It is a refuge either pre-match and half time with the great facility that you can pre-order and pay for a half time pint that is more or less waiting for you. It's not a cold wet winters night refuge at all, it makes a profit for NCFC.
I was with other's that were in the family stand, so if i may explain to you that the Lawton's bar is not accesible to those that are in that stand, hence the Navvi.
In the Pavis we have Lawton's, it's at the far end towards the kop, about 30 yards on from reception, and yes the photo's did enhance Lawton's, maybe not for yourself though as there there is no pretty flashing lights in there.......it's just history.
