Exactly.Warnock is an old style manager. He said himself he has turned down jobs, becuase he runs the show, picks the players he wants and then usually improves them. He takes control of all football issues. In fact he turned the job down at Forest for exactly this reason .
Only highly experienced and successfull managers can demand this, the Owners currently at Notts want yes men, with limited experience , as i said earlier it makes sense as its the cheap option, but its success rate is only 1 in 4, maybe less - in other words you have to dig through a lot of crap to find gold .

I dont know, but we have sacked quite a few decent managers and replaced them with worse
But as i said in a previous post, no owners since Pavis have had any financial clout, the real reason for Notts dropping lower, combined with bad luck and poorer and poorer managers its easy to understand

Fair enough its up to the owners who they hire. That being said it does not mean that a lot of manager mentioned could not do a better job than most of the head coaches we have had under the current owners

100% agree. A lot of clubs are and will move to this model. Makes no sense a manager being in charge of recruitment as none usually last more than a year or so and then you’re left with their players, some but not all driven by their relationships with agents, previous relationships with the players and when the new manager comes in it’s all the same again, it’s a costly process.

A one legged coach would be a progressive statement. Anybody know any?

I don't know any with one leg, but I'm pretty sure we've had a coach in the recent past who was notoriously legless

The owners can do what they want, it doesn't mean fans have to make public displays of forelock tugging, or even like it.

No and everyone’s entitled to have their opinions. What I will say when was the last time the club in the space of a year or 2 actually had players other clubs really wanted and would be willing to pay for? We’ve had Wooton, Ruben, Palmer, Roberts, Jones and Langstaff and 2 managers too. This season hasn’t been great but I fully expect them to sort it on the summer.
