We cannot afford to sell any of our key players at this stage of the window. The chances of finding a player of Wiles class with 9 days to go is very remote and that assumes the board make any money available. For me a sale now doesn't look good in the argument for PW is fully supported by the board. I think they have to come out with a clear statement that none of our key players are leaving.

According to Yorkshire Post -

Rotherham United to Complete New Signing Before Carabao Cup Clash Against Morcambe.

Rotherham United boss Paul Warne says, " Everything is Done " as he expects to have a player
in his ranks for Tuesday's visit of Morcambe.

" Everything is done, he will be coming up on Monday morning ", said Warne.
" I intend to play him straight away on Tuesday, it is good news for the group ".
" The better the player we can sign, the better we will be ".

Warne also planning on giving Tom Eaves his Rotherham debut against Morcambe,
Eaves was on the bench against QPR today, but did not play due to tactical plans.

With Preston North End not in for Brooke Norton-Cuffy now, been reported around 7 championship
clubs in for the player, but have the Millers won the race to get the player to the NYS.

I think a good deal could have been made for Cole Stockton from Morcambe, a fee of around £400,000
with a wage of £3,500 to £4,000 then if Cole Stockton helps keep the Millers in the championship
this season, a extra £100,000 to Morcambe.
With a incentive to Morcambe in letting Millers player Kayode go to Morcambe on loan till January 2023,
or a season-long-loan in the deal.

It would seem that clubs are after some of our players on loan, so signing Stockton, let Kayode go out
on loan to a another club to get more experience under his belt.

Something odd about the Stockton situation.

If the likes of Fleetwood and Port Vale are the front runners for his signature then it suggests he isn't up to the standard required.

Read that Fleetwood offered 100k for his services. Morecambe value him at 600k

The board will know that bids are likely (at any time during the transfer window) for our better players and the recruitment team will have identified alternatives just in case the bids are acceptable
