It’s been a privilege, as a dinosaur (I have a good collection of Tyrranosaurus Rex and T Rex records) to have seen Messrs Harper, Archibald, McDougall, Shearer, and Rooney bang them in for us. Miovski’s looking good also.

I’m trying hard to forget Andy Harrow and Keith Edwards, like.
I guess Bobby Cummings was before your time...****** youngster!

Indeed it was porteous with a deft flick on to Frank. Just on porteous, as a player I thought he was brilliant. One of the best goals I've seen at Pittodrie was his screamer against the deed club when Jock Wallace was back in charge. What actually happened to Porteous?

That was a disgrace of a goal.

After all, the Hun had went back to wearing black socks with red tops so the referee should never have allowed it.

I remember enjoying that game very much.

Wallace taking the plaudits from the unwashed before the game ( they were in the beach end, well in my memory anyway) and then getting tanked.

    Very pleasing indeed.

    Yes, and thank you!

Tommy White, Don Kerrigan and Ernie Winchester were the ‘strikers’ when I first took an interest. Kerrigan had gone to Gynaecastle (a place to go to watch fannies and clunts) by the time my uncle decided I needed to see what I’d let myself in for.

What a way to begin. I still give Chalky Whyte stick for spending the second half flat on his arris being taken apart on an icy surface.
